Have you ranked Coen Brothers Films yet?

I think what’s crazy is that my lowest-rated of their films is like…6/10?

Back from a weekend in LA and wanted to watch this tonight. Funny enough, it also ties into a book I'm currently reading about Lana Turner killing her abusive boyfriend around that same time period. This may be on my top 5 list. Definitely top 10.

Have you ranked Coen Brothers Films yet?
This feels like a near impossible undertaking, but if I were to try do a ranking off the top of my head, this is probably what I would come up with:
  1. Barton Fink (probably alone on this one but it's a masterpiece imo)
  2. The Big Lebowski
  3. Fargo
  4. A Serious Man
  5. No Country for Old Men
  6. True Grit
  7. O Brother, Where Art Thou?
  8. The Man Who Wasn't There
  9. Raising Arizona
  10. Blood Simple
  11. Burn After Reading
  12. Miller's Crossing
  13. The Hudsucker Proxy (this one gets a big boost from me just for JJL's performance alone tbh)
  14. Inside Llewyn Davis
  15. The Ballad of Buster Scruggs
  16. Intolerable Cruelty
  17. Hail, Caesar!
  18. The Ladykillers
I feel obligated to note that it's been several years since I've seen a few of these so they could always shift up or down on the list depending on a rewatch but as someone else said, there's no way this list could ever be set in stone, their filmography is just way too good.

I found that I had a Letterboxd list, which had the following ranking:
  1. No Country for Old Men (*****)
  2. Miller's Crossing (****½)
  3. Barton Fink (****½)
  4. O Brother, Where Art Thou? (****½)
  5. Fargo (****½)
  6. Inside Llewyn Davis (****½)
  7. The Big Lebowski (****½)
  8. True Grit (****)
  9. Raising Arizona (****)
  10. The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (****)
  11. Blood Simple (****)
  12. Hail, Caesar! (***½)
  13. The Hudsucker Proxy (***½)
  14. A Serious Man (***½) <-- I really need to rewatch this, I only saw it once in theaters
  15. Intolerable Cruelty (***½)
  16. Burn After Reading (***½)
  17. The Man Who Wasn't There (***½)
Not listed: The Ladykillers, which I still need to sit and watch.

Waiting for Killers of the Flower Moon, too...
Yeah, I've been wanting to see this since it came out but I can't justify paying for Apple TV on top of all the other things I'm already subscribed just so I can watch one movie. It really is ridiculous how this current age of streaming has made things less convenient when that was initially the whole selling point.
