This franchise is great. The scene with the dancers...perfection. Streaming now on Paramount Plus.

We watched Endless Poetry a couple days ago and are still talking about it. It’s a surrealistic biopic about Alejandro Jodorowsky, what we didn’t realize is that it’s the second movie in a series, but he has yet to make movies 3-5, but it can absolutely stand alone. It is wild and I really enjoyed his vision. I think I want to see his other films, especially The Holy Mountain.

I have the Criterion collection boxset of his films. They're all great, imo, but the one it doesn't didn't come with, Santa Sangre, is the least philosophical but made the starkest impression on me.

The documentary about his failed attempt at making Dune is also well worth the watch.

There's a Jorodowsky Criterion boxset?
No, i think he meant the abkco (US)/Arrow (UK) box-sets.

Has anyone else gone to the Criterion Collection area at Barnes and Noble and pretended you're in your very own Criterion closet segment? I feel people would be disappointed with my selections as not be obscure enough.

I'm one of those "basic" Criterion fans whose selections wouldn't be cool enough. A lot of those deep picks are ones I found interesting to watch once, but don't necessarily want/need to own to watch again.

This isn't it. I'm trying to find a copy online to show, but I'll have to dig it out. I bought it close to 20 years ago. Haven't seen it for sale in a long time.
