I get that but it also setups a situation where the picker is really dissatisfied with how it is run

Would you want the picker to come on the thread and say this is a better clue (or whatevr) if you are running the guess thread? I get it is for fun, but there will be people who take it seriously, I mean look how the VMP guess threads went. I imagine it wouldn't happen at first but over time I can see it potentially becoming an issue

This is just my opinion and I am not saying we have to change the already setup idea, just something to think about

I think we are in a misunderstanding there. The picker would be basically "Storf" and drop clues, the guess thread runner would compile guesses, do a bit of sleuthing, keeping the thread alive, triaging guesses, etc. Same as "before", but with our own curation. Does that make more sense ?

Another suggestion. I know I am revealing AotM's name on 31st but we should give more time between the announcement and the next Guess thread. It would give a few days for members to discuss about the pick, ask questions to the picker, etc... Vol.0 is a test run and we only had 15 days so I suppose it's ok but in the future, I think we should have, let's say, a five days window between the announcement and the next thread.

I was going to suggest something like this. Gives us time to digest and chat about it before the next guesses commence.

I agree. I think the most important part of this club-type-of-thing we are trying out here should be the music discussion. I say we should give it at least a week for discussion until we start the next guess thread, then both threads (discussion of the current ROTM and Guess of the upcoming one) can coexist.

Or we could change the guess thread into the ROTM thread like we did on the forbidden forum

Thereby talking and still guessing
