I hadn't even heard of Beach Bunny until this week, but man their new album is great. It's another random surprise for me. Might pick up the vinyl.

Oh I also like the new Black Midi quite a bit. It's an insane listen, but it feels more honed in structurally, thematically. Ive enjoyed their past two, but not as much as other people. This one though is really great. I listened to it once all the way through then went right back and started it again, which I don't do too frequently.

I really like beach bunny's last album and then weirdly about a week ago my 10 year old daughter was like check out this tune and played me cloud 9. So turns out she is a fan too

Maggie Rogers was good. She meets the middle between her debut album and the indie rock sound of her earlier work.

The new Joe Armon-Jones was not my favorite thing by him. New Of Montreal is not grabbing me right away.

The new Amanda Shires is pretty awesome, her best to date.

The debut album God's Country by Oklahoma experimental/industrial noise rock/sludge outfit Chat Pile really delivered. One of the heaviest things you'll hear all year. Intense, harrowing, brutal, nihilistic, this album is a hopeless expression of Ameican realities.

This Beyoncé is literally everything I needed it to be! Such an amazing love letter to all things dance/disco and to the NYC ballroom scene . I try not to do this day 1 but I could see this easily being my AOTY
