I thoroughly enjoyed CACTIby Billy Nomates
The post-punk singer-songwriter brings a lot of energy and rawness, not to mention warmth and beauty on her sophomore album!
I really like her. Her last album and EP were very much up my alley. Listening to this one right now - this is an excellent follow-up so far. Nice evolution.

I'm not familiar with her last LP and EP but yeah this album is great
The previous stuff had more anger in it, more punk energy, with various feminist themes. This one ramps up the electronica a bit but songs like "Spite" are vey much in line with the older stuff.

I've decided that this year I really want to try and get back into consistently checking out new music and, hopefully in the process, broadening my horizons a bit. I've gone through all the lists in this thread and now have a big stack of 2023 releases to start sifting through.

alright now that I got my 1001 record out of the way, back to new music. I really like the Margo Price, she is adding country back to the Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac sound of the last album. It's also dynamic! Belle and Sebastian was well Belle and Sebastian. Not a bad thing, just don't think they brought anything new to the table and like their last few releases it will probably get a few listens and then be forgotten. Giving the Rozi Plain a proper listen now, but liked what I heard in background listens earlier.

It's definitely the most uplifting album I've listened to this year. It is also the most interesting sonically. Added to my best 23 of playlist.
