Thats a high bar. I dont think its that good to be honest. Might grow on me even more though....As God Intended was a favorite from '20. Would love something similar here.

In addition to Che Noir, this has been one of the highlights for me this week:

Yes! I was going to post about this album last week because that was the date I had seen on their website, but when I looked it up on Spotify the album wasn't there, but 8 out of the 12 songs were listed underneath a single. Those tracks are great, and I can't wait for the last 25% haha For those that don't know, Big Crown release with the Dap-Kings guys and some great modern soul! Also she was a voice in R&B in the early 2000's singing with Timbaland and Missy Elliot.
Still have a dozen or so releases on my radar list to get through, but these two are proving to already be favourites for not only the week but the month as well:
I couldn't wait until the work shift later today and streamed it through last night and a portion of it this morning.I've only gotten to Amber, and it does not disappoint!
It is fabulous!! I'm very happy.I couldn't wait until the work shift later today and streamed it through last night and a portion of it this morning.
IT'S SO GOOD I CAN'T STOP
Haven't seen anyone reference Marchita, the amazing full-length debut from Silvana Estrada that released last week. She's not on Bandcamp, but you should be able to find on your streaming app of choice. The NY Times recently did a great feature on Silvana:
Silvana Estrada Arrives With a Devastating Album About Heartbreak (Published 2022)
The Mexican singer-songwriter’s debut solo album, “Marchita,” paints a tender portrait of lost love, putting her voice and her Venezuelan cuatro center stage.www.nytimes.com
Oh, and check out her Tiny Desk (home) Concert. It's amazing.
