Not so sure about the quicker shipping part!
But I do have some Amazon gift cards…..
. But luckily I think I have a spare gearbox from the last time they sent me the PCB. they included a bunch of other parts in there....fingers crossed that's the solve!

to be fair, i've had mine since the kickstarter campaign and cleaned probably 1200 LPs with it. wonder if the gearbox got rusty as others have had happen to them.

Mine just seized eventually but then I did clean an insane amount of records with my machine at the beginning.

It’s very likely just an ion generator. Think of it as an automated Zerostat.

right--but does it rotate around the record? does it stay still while your TT spins? pretty sure the zerostat always said not to use it on the TT or near your needle.

Kinda looks like it rotates, but having the unit stand still and rotating the platter underneath it might make more sense.

yea--considering that it extends past the platter on the left side in the photo, i imagine it may bop the tonearm if it rotates around?
