The shear amount of styles and samples cobbled together by Beck and The Dust Brothers here is staggering the fact that it all comes together so seamlessly amazing.

I started revisiting classic McGuyver episodes during the pandemic as they still rerun on the H&I (whatever that is) channel. It’s it’s 80s Action TV at it’s finest. Lots of baddies with guns and explosions.

ALF was appointment viewing in my household. Such a weird premise to take your standard 80s sitcom and insert a wisecracking alien into the mix. Anyways I love ALF and cats and am happy that ALF never succeeded in eating Lucky. Our kitty might not be so lucky…

This month's N&G AotM kicks off perhaps the greatest trilogy of cat songs ever spread across three albums with "Plea From A Cat Named Virtute," whose adventures would continue on the following Weakerthans album, Reunion Tour as "Virtute The Cat Explains Her Departure," before concluding with "Virtute At Rest" on John K. Samson's second solo album, Winter Wheat.

This one is more on the ideas side, with maybe Jay Bennett throwing the sounds around. Something that could have turned out poorly, but they found a way to make sense of some music to put with Woody's lyrics.

Carole King - Tapestry

I’m surprised no one took this already, it feels like the most obvious play for todays theme! I know I just played this for last month’s challenge (I also did James Taylor that day as I did today so that’s some fun deja vu) but this album has been really non stop at the back of my mind for a while now. I’ve always loved it but the past couple months it has really shot up my all time favorite rankings

I suppose this is a cheat as this is from his newer TBS show "Conan" and not Late Night With Conan O’Brien...but whatever.

This live performance is better than the studio track on the album. David Draiman was also super sick with the flu.
