We’ve recently been watching The Simpsons episodes in order and last night just saw the “Krusty Gets Kancelled” episode, so this one was fresh in our minds (let my oldest choose this one just to see if he’s been paying attention. Glad he didn’t pick Bette Midler, who was also on this episode (not necessarily because I’m not a fan, but I don’t have any of her stuff))
7:30 PM ⓭ FOX The Simpsons Phish - Lawn Boy The Simpsons have been ever present part of my life. Both me and my SO have watched it more times than we could count, especially the first 10 seasons. Phish didn’t drop by until season 13 but it was a memorable moment nonetheless.
7:30 PM ❷ FOX Get A Life Dr. Octagon - Dr. Octagonecologyst I remember really enjoy early FOX tv shows as a kid. Obviously The Simpsons and Married With Children but also lesser renowned shows like It’s Garry Shandling’s Show, Herman’s Head, In Living Color, and Get A Life. The Chris Elliott staring vehicle didn’t last for very long but still holds up today. I had a tough time choosing between a Prince Paul and Dan The Automator project because the are both some of my faves but ultimately decided to go with this classic that pairs The Automator with Q-Bert and Kool Keith for some dirty fun!

Negativland - a band known for making sound collages helps you find an escape from noise...by piecing together a bunch of noise and movie samples and radio show samples and all sorts of odd shit...

Pussy plays Pussy from the band Pussy...a psychedelic rock band from the 60's that had nothing but love for cats and NOTHING else!!

Tom Waits "Rain Dogs" (1985 Island Japan)
Waits started blending all kinds of instruments and sounds during the 80's. This album includes marimbas, accordions, banjo, double bass, electric organ, congas, trombone, pump organ, violin, reeds in addition to more standard rock instrumentation.
Gordon Shumway was a cool Alien Life Form from Melmac. The only thing he enjoyed more sharp one-liner was cats. Play a record that features a feline (as a friend as opposed to as a snack)

Wire "Pink Flag" (1977 Harvest; 2018 reissue)
Includes "Ex Lion Tamer". Apparently the original lyrics of this song were about a Lion Tamer, but then they were scrapped and instead of changing the title, they just added an "Ex" to the front. The updated lyrics seem to be about a looming danger, which sort of fits the new title anyway. So, the lion tamer is maybe the one that's eaten here, flipping the Alf thematic on its head.
