8:00 PM ⑰ NBC Unsolved Mysteries

Covers a few bases...

Was originally rumored to be a record by the reformed Beatles under incognito wraps. A few songs dealing with inter-planetary travel and inhabitants of another world.

While the rumor didn't hold water, still a fun listen...

Lighthouse "One Fine Morning" - haven't watched The Wonder Years in forever I'm sure there was an episode where Paul went and visited his "girlfriend in Canada" and she totally turned him on to some local talent. He probably brought it over to Kevin's place, they dropped acid and really got lost in that album cover because you know you ain't getting lost in the middle of the road bland ass music....
CHANGE THE CHANNEL!!!
What's this documentary that'll totally get my mind straight... Chariots of the Gods? Wait you wanted conspiracy theories not FACTS, shit I guess there's always tomorrow I guess...

Pay an album that Kevin Arnold coulda spun on the show without causing an anachronism (from 1968 to 1973).

Spinning Wheel was used on Season 3, Episode 1. If Kevin was visiting the UK in 1984, he might have had a flashback when it came up on an tv ad for Graham and Brown wallpaper.

8:00 PM ⑰ NBC Unsolved Mysteries

Play an album that features unsolved crimes, missing persons, conspiracy theories, or unexplained paranormal phenomena (alien abductions, ghosts, UFOs, and "secret history" theories).

The Tragically Hip "Fully Completely" (1992 MCA; 2016 reissue)
There are actually a couple songs relating to Canadian crimes and mysteries on this one. 50 Mission Cap is about the disappearance of Toronto Maple Leafs player Bill Barilko, the discovery of his body years later and the odd mystery that the Leafs haven't won a cup since (in reality it's not a mystery, they're just bad :D). Wheat Kings is about the wrongful conviction of David Milgaard. This song was instrumental in making his story known leading to his eventual release after 23 years and the identification of the real murderer. Locked In The Trunk Of A Car may allude to the kidnapping of Quebec politician Pierre Laporte and British diplomat James Cross during the October crisis of 1970. Laporte was found dead in the trunk of a car. There remains a controversy as to whether the death was "accidental", in that it wasn't intended and he severely injured himself trying to escape. But then if that was the case, nobody brought him to seek medical care and dumped him in a trunk, so yeah.

"50 Mission Cap" is one of my absolute favourite Hip tunes. The background vocal "in overtime" on the second verse is just *chef's kiss* perfect. Vivid; haunting; tragic.

7:00 PM ❼ ABC The Wonder Years
The Byrds - Sweetheart Of The Rodeo

The Wonder Years was one of those shows that used big hits of the era to set the tone the problem was those tracks are pricey as fuck which made it difficult to air on streaming services (and before that on DVD) I think you can currently watch the series on Hulu but Disneys cheap ass has wiped out most of the original music, They even got some Joe Cocker wannabe to rerecord “Help From My Fiends”. That being said, I am sure The Byrds were likely used in the series originally though probably not Sweetheart Of The Rodeo unless Kevin’s cool hippy older sister, Karen started dating a cowboy in an episode.

I picture Bob sitting around, watching Unsolved Mysteries with his guitar on his lap alternating between sips of beer and cigarette drags as he wrote “Hardcore UFO’s”.

Are witch doctors real? I don't think so, but who am I to argue.

With songs like A Peculiar Noise Called "Train Director", Paranormal Echoes, The Bark And Below It, and I Have Been Floated...I feel like this record will work. And it's just freaking fantastic as an added bonus.
