Play an album that is known by a different name than its actual title or a self-titled record

Well this turned out to be a bit harder than I thought. So I just scrolled through my collection and decided to play this ep by Snapper. I was all excited when Captured Tracks reissued this ep, thinking that they would also do their first album, but no luck.

Though November is the 11th month in the Gregorian calendar, the name is derived from the Latin word for 9, novem, since the Romans used a 10 month calendar.

Number 9, Number 9, Number 9…

Nothing - Tired of Tomorrow

For the track "Nineteen Ninety Heaven."

John Peel died 20 years ago this year. A tastemaker for several generations and famous for inviting artists on to his radio show to record a “Peel Session".

Play a Peel session or a record that somebody here hyped you to that you now absolutely love

Underrated band. Love Bill Carter's wild playing/vocal style...

Rock Around The Clock was the original intro song for Happy Days, and is the leadoff track on this quasi-American Graffitti soundtrack.

I also find the timing of this prompt funny as the 17 year old just got a short / Diamond Dogs era bowie haircut, and she came in wearing all black jeans / shirt / leather jacket and a scarf the other day, and I said I thought she looked just like Leather Tuscadero. Which had absolutely no point of reference for her.

I watched way too many Happy Days clips when I came up with this clue. But Leather, and Pinkie, Tuscadero has to be one of the best characters names.

Total Blue - Total Blue

This is my favorite MFM release this year. It isn't your run of the mill ambient record at all; there's a heady progressive electronic influence to the longer tracks "Heart of the World" and "Chaparral" and a tribal, organic flair on "The Path" and "Pearl Plains" combined with the warm synthesizers that make for an immersive, inviting listen.
Will rank high.

Fleetwood Mac - Rumours

Of course I had to go with the band that inspired my username. I don’t know if I can really put into words why I love this band so much. I found them my senior year of hs and I was just starting to really expand my music tastes away from the early 2010 alt radio bands. The things that drew me in back then are still the things I come back to over 10 years after that initial discovery. The simple harmonies and hooks, the different styles and perspectives of the 3 main songwriters, the hidden depths of the instrumentals etc. it’s music that always feels both nostalgic and current. These 5 people who go back and forth between loving and hating each other managed to capture lightning in a bottle and put out my favorite 5 album run of all time (mirage is a low point but some songs on it are prettt great so I’ll forgive it lol) and my absolute favorite singular album of all time
