My wife’s family went from its a hoax to well if people at Lee’s work are sick then you best not come over for Christmas which is what we were trying to tell them a month ago. (And secretly what we wanted... I can’t remember the last time Christmas was a nice relaxing day.)

I had a less that pleasurable zoom meeting with my family on Thanksgiving.

The only fun zoom calls I have ever been on were my grandparent’s 75th anniversary last month and my parent’s 50th anniversary this past weekend.
Most of my zoom meetings are because I fired someone and they are going through the appeal process. The damn Brady Bunch opening credits even make me twitch now.

I just feel this is the same thing our government says "Hey, at least they're getting something", but they are so detached from reality it's just not right.

I concur but short of a fighting in the streets and voting, not sure much can be done. I mean as long as our government is sold to the highest bidder than it is business as usual. Got to get the money out of politics for there to be any meanigful change.

No matter how you slice it we're in 1984. Either I'm buying the fake news hook, line, and sinker or they are. Either way, we've always been at war with Eurasia at this point. I'm honestly not sure which side is more terrifying to be on but I'm going with the one where your president is falsely voted out... I guess out of compassion?
