Politics has systematically worked against the middle class since at least Reagan. Probably earlier but I’ve watched the mechanism since then.
At least here (and in some ways it is still true), the working class was part of the middle class.Perhaps, it’s nothing in comparison to how Reganomics and Thatcherism has utterly fucked the working classes.
All of the events in this particular time line seem to be made in such a way that it royally f*cks all of humanity. We are being stupid and have allowed power to be put in the stupidest hands. Please elaborate.
Okay, so here's the thing with China, they can't piss off Russia. Besides the fact that they are neighbors, though China is big, it's not very fertile, and gets a lot of it's food and fuel from Russia. China doesn't want any sort of war in Russia because 1. it supplies them with food and fuel and it will not be able to do that effectively if it's in open conflict and 2. did I mention they are neighbors?
So basically, no chance of peace and that China and Russia are aligning against the west.
The working class = the middle classAt least here (and in some ways it is still true), the working class was part of the middle class.
Fake AI images of ‘Trump arrest’ hit internet
Fabricated images of former President Trump being arrested are circulating social media as the country prepares for his possible indictment this week. The images, created using artificial intellige…thehill.com
This is a dangerous game here. Creating unreal images that look real...what could go wrong?
And now every conspiracy theorist can just say, is this real or an AI generated image? Ugh, ugh, ugh...Yeah, this was the wrong place to look when I just woke up. I'm going to have daymares now!
that was exactly my pointThis is a dangerous game here. Creating unreal images that look real...what could go wrong?
I misread this as you were deepfake tech. Which would be apropos there Mr MalkovichThat's not anything all that new. Kubrick directed the moon landing. Biden's first days of presidency were being conducted from a fake set while the actual White House sat unoccupied. I'm less worried about AI-generated still images than I am over deepfake tech.
Arkansas just became the 4th state to ban trans kids at school from using the bathroom of the gender they identify with Sanders signing the bill into law yesterday.
Kids must use the bathroom that matches the gender assigned at birth at schools.
The bill does allow for schools to accommodate transgender students with a single-person restroom that is gender neutral. But provides no funding for schools to remodel to add these types of bathrooms. So the concern is they will never be a real option for transgender kids.
The superintendents, principals and teachers can be fined $1,000 for not enforcing the law. Students can be suspended or expelled for using the wrong bathroom.
There has been a resurgence in bathroom bills introduced by conservative lawmakers this year. With 25 other states having bathroom bills in the works so far this year surpassing the number of bills introduced in 2016 already when bathroom bills were at their peak, or rather previous peak.
So now the school will have female passing students in a male (gendered) bathroom? I have no idea how this is more healthy for everyone than them having to go in their passing bathroom. Both situations create problems for school districts. They (trans kids) will probably just use the bathroom in the nurses office just like they have been for a while now.
