Yet, a lot of Americans who work in Healthcare are happy about this appointment. They can look passed the conspiracy theories and just focus on "Make American healthy again" and say a guy like Robert F Kennedy Jr is needed to shake things up and bring about change. They keep citing obesity as an epidemic and that RFK Jr will take care of it.

A substantial number of people in American healthcare ARE conspiracy theorists.

I've seen two flavors of this on my friendslist: he's going to get rid of all the additives they put in food here and he's going to get companies to make healthier food.

Which, hey, I guess that's a thing that could happen. It's not gonna but it could. You'd need to enact some hard regulations to get US foods and sodas to start using sugar instead of corn syrup -- it would be super cool to have american coke taste like mexican coke -- but it's not gonna happen on RFK's whim, so good fucking luck changing the business practices of every food and drink manufacturer in the US.

Try. One of my step father's friend's wife was a career nurse and made very good money. She was fired because she refused to get the covid vaccine which was mandatory for all healthcare workers. She went off about it being a violation of her rights and that the vaccine was microchipping her. She know longer works in healthcare and in is a shift manager at a restaurant.

She is also currently suing her former employer over wrongful termination. Something I would have once laughed at and said "good luck with that", yet in this day an age I don't know any more.

And here are some other notable pending cases:
