Political Discussion

I can’t really get worked up about folks wanting to work for or be treated fairly by a religious organization that actively preaches that said folks are evil or sinners or abominations. It doesn’t make sense to me.

Edit: okay this could seem harsh, but I had not read the article to see the circumstances of the individual in the opening. That’s f’d up….

Reading the article a bit, the easy answer is don’t allow religious organizations to benefit from Title IX. Freedom doesn’t mean the absence of consequence. If the University wants to have a “lifestyle covenant” then they don’t get the government entitlement.

Not that anyone needs to see more deranged behaviors, but I was reading an article and clicked to see Jenna Ellis's fundraiser on the right wing nutjob religious go fund me alternative. The comments from the idiots giving her lawyer money are disturbing.

What could possible go wrong with this?

well for starters it's one of the conditions of having the app on the android store (and maybe the apple store?), so barring some bullshit lawyering, this is either going to get walked back or bite him really, really hard on the ass.

Another article I saw noted that Apple has exempted the 2 character name requirement in the store, since Twitter now is X, so who knows.

More curious if this change would apply to his own account or be exempt since he loves rules for everyone but himself.

In NC, at least, ambulances have to obey traffic laws.

Although it would seem like the red light cameras should just be waived.

Speed cameras?

So, your saying they can't run a red light when responding to an Emergency?

Hope I don't have a medical emergency in NC.

Though pretty sure if their lights are on, they are using their sirens and horns they always have the right away. Yes they need to ensure it's safe to pass through the red light and that all traffic has yielded to them. But they don't have to wait for the light to turn green. They can go through on red.

Cameras are few and far between here and I don’t think a cop would pull one over, but yes they are bound by traffic law.
