I watched about an hour of the convention leading up to Trump’s arrival. Given the very evangelical approach of the nut jobs on stage right to asking people to active witness for the party between now and November, “devout” seems very correct to me. It was like watching a cult ceremony. It was weird. I have a hard time believing these people live on the same planet.“devout republican”
