I am glad that black is the only option for their releases. I am a fan of black vinyl but I am a collector and understand their is a greater value in collecting albums in rare colored variants. I am glad I haven't had to purchase any limited color pressings (yet) from their respective catalogues.

Yeah, even if rarer colored versions are released for them, I'd probably just stick with those that I personally enjoy the most. I don't really need a colored version of Empire Burlesque (or any version for that matter LooooooL).

If The Sound of Vinyl has taught me anything, it's that I really don't need albums from Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Who, and really any band that was worth a damn in the 70s/80s on ridiculous colored vinyl.

Says it's at 622 already, IF that's accurate.

It also says numbered up to 1,000. that might mean that this is the first pressing that's numbered and then they'll repress the same variant without numbers.

I would say if there's a repress, it would probably be a different color / standard black and this is just the first wave. As much as I enjoy this album, it's not at the very top of my list of new releases I want to get whenever I have the money. If it's still around in a few months in some capacity (colored variant or not), I'll definitely want to get it. But how long has it been on sale / up to pre-order? Because if that number is right, they've already sold nearly 400 copies, which is fairly impressive imo, for how relatively obscure they still seem to be.

It might be worth grabbing. Death Grips was pretty underground when I bought Exmilitary from them, too. Of course, that's a completely different level to me than this

Omg, if this turns into an Exmilitary and I didn't get it when I had the chance... you know I don't do well under FOMO pressure! Lol

I doubt this will be like that, unlike Exmilitary I don't think 1000 gecs has a bunch of uncleared samples and stuff that'll keep them from repressing it if demand is high enough. I could be wrong on that tho, but @dhodo has a point that the way it's worded does sort of seem to imply that maybe this is just an exclusive numbered first pressing and there will be another pressing later down the line. Fingers crossed 🤞
