Pre-Order Thread

I am originally from a town not to far from Chicago and have no clue what that is. That being said, I would not be surprised if it was a thing and that it was delicious.
Deep-fried pizza! I forgot to put the 'deep' before the fried! Deep Fried pizza sounds gross, but so many travellers say it's amazing and I've met food lovers who all highly recommend it, so I would definitely try it out! And they all say Chicago to go and eat it!

lol is this place well known or something? If you come to Kansas City I can give you a hundred places better than Gram & Dun.
It's just an example of somewhere I would go! But dang, sounds like it isn't a good place! I would still do more research but would definitely ask people in the hotel, airBNB, hostel etc where they like to go for comfort food/chicken and waffles!

Ok, that's it, no more food talking from me! ⚠

I dont know that I would. I think I would just send people to local places, you know?

If they are in Seattle and just really want fast food then absolutely go to Dicks.
There is some hometown pride involved with these regional food institutions. Moving out here from the Midwest everyone raved about Dick’s and I couldn’t help be a bit disappointed upon my first meal but the more I thought about it the more I understood the appeal, it’s a source of nostalgia as much as it is About the food. Similarly my hometown was the birthplace of Steak N Shake and Everytime I am back home I have to get a Double Steakburger platter with French Fries and Cottage Cheese (sans pineapple slice) and I love it but if I brought someone visiting there I am sure they would probably not understand the appeal.

ha. It’s fine. There are much better places though.
So many options! Like everywhere in the U.S., you'll find Chicken and waffles! I've never eaten it but I just know I would love the dish so much! There are some places that do it Melbourne! I just typed in 'Chicken and Waffles Melbourne', and there's a page recommending where the best Chicken and Waffles are! So, I'll definitely try out the dish soon! CAN'T WAIT! SO EXCITED

Here's my offering, in the Seattle area: Fat's Chicken and Waffles | Fat's Chicken & Waffles is a southern style, New Orleans-influenced restaurant focusing on authentic & natural ingredients in the heart of the Seattle's Central District.

And if you can get into the place, in Park City, UT: Our Menu — five5eeds

You best understand how important Dick’s is to Seattle when you wait drunk in a very long line outside the U District Dick’s at 1 in the morning, or when you walk over to the lower Queen Anne store after a Sonics game

This all actually came from a conversation about a Walmart preorder that was listed STP’s Core. Which lead to talk of Cracker Barrel exclusives which lead to Waffle House convo. It all pre-order related.
I can't with Cracker and Barrel! Anyone else pissing themselves that this place does vinyl? Like it's so random! Like imagine Taco Bell or Shake Shack doing vinyl exclusives lmao :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

LOL, I wanna say you might be a bit confused; Chicago style pizza is a deep dish pizza, not typically deep fried it is baked In a high sided pan (or a rather 'deep dish') it is almost like eating a pizza casserole. It’s pretty good but not usually fried.

OMG, this place looks unreal! Like, this would be literally the place I would want to go the most! This is the jackpot! 🎯🎯🎯

I would go there for lunch, without eating breakfast on that day - maybe only like a mandarin or orange. I would order a Mac & Cheese, and then the chicken and waffle and would try the sausage gravy sauce with it too!

For dinner, I would have something light and healthy elsewhere, but would return back again for lunch the next day, and would order the Grits and shrimp and the Fats Frito Pie as a side dish.

Then I would go back a last time and would order the Fats sampler, and get the fried chicken with three sides: red beans and rice, collard greens and rice and sausage gravy and maybe even the fried green tomato too!

Can't wait to go to Washington and go to Fat's Chicken and Waffles in the future! 😁😁😁

🤤😎😋

I am sure it exists. I would also be willing to bet that it would be easy to mix up Chicago style Deep Dish Pizza with Deep-Fried pizza. I am not sure which he was referring but by being “Chicago” into it, I would bet he was referring to the former.

Yeah it’s a west coast of Scotland thing, chippys there will batter and fry any fucking thing. Pair it with a battered mars bar for dessert.

Ohhhhh gotcha! Thanks for clearing that up for me! Deep Dish pizza! I think because it had the work 'deep', I just automatically put 'fried' there, and that's why I was very 'ewwww' in my head! but OMG, YUMMMM! I can't wait to go to Chicago and have deep dish pizza and hot-dogs and their signature sandwiches! 😋 🙌
