Record cleaning - what's your method?

Nice, what make and model is that? An Ultrasonic is on a back, BACK, burner, but every once and a while I think about grabbing one of the Amazon $300-400 models to try, but the itch doesn't last long because so far the VPI and anti-static "puff" brush have been working out well. Would still be cool to have ;)
This is the cleanervinyl pro.
I found one used on audiomart a while back for a good deal.

I hand clean my records (Neil's step) and then put them through the US. It's more of a final rinse/polish IMO than a cleaner with 132kHz.

I think I need to do something to the pickup tube on my vpi 16.5. Seems like it's not sucking everything up and it leaves a line of fluid when the suction finishes. There are stress cracks in it but I can't feel air escaping. Should I just replace the strip on it or the tube entirely? If so what tube should I get?

my clear plastic one broke on my VPI (cracked). i got the delrin replacement. but then i eventually got the humminguru to replace the whole machine. i still use the VPI for really dirty stuff to give a preclean. haven't had issues with the delrin replacement and it seems sturdier than the one that comes with the machine

$85 before shipping means that's a wait a little bit purchase. Seems like a good idea though

If it's leaving streaks it might be too much solution or it might be time to replace the velvet strips for sure. That said, pick up the delrin tube when you can, it's a great replacement. If you're looking for strips, I have these after trying a few "generic" offerings and they work great.

Yeah I've never replaced the strips and it's been at least a few years so I'll probably start with that

Free shipping at a bunch of places but yea. Sadly not cheap. It does seem worth it in the long haul since the quality is better than the regular plastic one.
