RSD 2020

@Bloodlemons looks like High Voltage added the Gorillaz releases to the 2020 drops on the store page. They also released details: they are opening from 7 AM to 9:45 AM for RSD for titles. Only one person in the store at a time 5 minute limit then Online sales begin at 10:00 AM PDT and regular store operation from Noon to 7:00 PM. I think I am gonna try to get there between 2 and 3 AM. It actually won’t be as bad as normal since it’s the dry season and they normally don’t open til 9:00 AM for RSD.

You are a TROOPER! I think the earliest I've ever gotten there was around 5:00 A.M. Opening at 7:00 is a better schedule in general.

Thanks for the info update. I will message you later in the week to confirm everything. :)

Just saw this on Superfly Records Facebook and I completely missed it in the different RSD lists. This is for those who enjoyed Experience Unlimited and the others Black Fire reissues. Amazing funky/soul music with electric guitar just like I love it.

1,500 Limited Pressing with Machine Numbered Sleeve. Soul Brother Records are delighted to reissue on vinyl for the first time one of the most in demand and best 'Holy Grail' Soul and Funk albums for RSD 2020. My Queen by self-contained band Gaston was recorded in North Carolina in 1978 for the independent Hotlanta label and has been in demand for the last 30 years. The album consists of seven excellent Soul and Funk tracks including Clap Song sampled by Sporty Thievz in 1998 and the also sampled two stepper My Dreams. Original copies are rarely seen and command £500 on ebay.

I´ll get an E-Mail on Friday, which Releases of my wishlist they were able to get for me and can pick them up from Monday on. I would not be opposed to rsd. Always being this way. The two times i went to store in the last years it was just lots of tense People trying to grab everything that they could be ble to flip on eBay. That made me stick to the leftover Sales the last years

I may grab Drella if it's available online. I gave it a listen on Spotify and it had the familiar Lou humor but the arrangements didn't grab me. Gonna rename it Songs for Drolla.

It's the aspect that it's a tribute to Andy Warhol which grabs me. I am from Pittsburgh as well as most of my family. My grandparents are buried next to Andy so they must have known his family at some point.

Fun Fact: Drella is Andy's Nickname coined by some of his friends that he didn't like, but it was Dracula and Cinderella. With all that this screams to me that I should get it. Haha.

I visited Pittsburgh for a cousins wedding and really enjoyed it. The Warhol Museum is fantastic. He is one of my favorite artists. I need to pick up that new biography.

That's awesome. I knew I saw his picture silhouette on the album cover but didn't know any of the backstory.

When I head back home to visit family and such I will visit that museum again. I appreciated it, but BARELY remember it. What I do remember I was fascinated. Next time you are in Pittsburgh I HIGHLY recommend The Senator John Heinz History Center. They have the OG Set of Mister Rodgers in there as well as the OG racer Cars from Kennywood as well as other fun stuff from the history. PLEASE TELL ME YOU GOT SOME Primanti!

Yeah, as much as I'm looking forward to that release, I honestly wasn't too sad to see it bumped to October. I've spent too much on preorders for this month/Sept already.

I have spent so much too. I also have a car repair TODAY so any help with the wallet will be good.

Oh yeah, I was only there for a weekend but Primanti Bros. and the Warhol Museum were the main things on my list. We didn’t make it to the original location unfortunately but it was still delicious. The open bar at the reception had Yuengling on tap too so I was able to mark that off my list as well. It was a nice weekend!

Drella got bumped to Oct, so that should make your decision easier :D
I don’t know if everyone got the word that it got bumped (it looks like it’s up on my locals site). I have a feeling that store that already got their copies might not realize (or might not want to) they are supposed to hold off on selling it. I would double check with your local if you are really looking to grab a copy.

Next time you go you owe it to yourself to go the Heinz History Center. I can also suggest DeLuca's. Then go for an Eat'n Park Smiley Cookie (If you like Coleslaw there's is the BEST I have ever had). Then head to Kings after dinner for Apple Pie and Cinnamon Ice Cream. If you want some good shots of the city the inclines are the way to go and of course head to Kennywood for a day.
