RSD 2020

I don’t know if everyone got the word that it got bumped (it looks like it’s up on my locals site). I have a feeling that store that already got their copies might not realize (or might not want to) I would double check with your local if you are really looking to grab a copy.

Good Idea! EDIT: Do you think they will get in trouble for that?

Does anybody know if The Weeknd EP or either of the Gorillaz are RSD 1st or exclusives? I can’t seem to find that info anymore

the original PDF for april had whether they were rsd-1st or not, if you could find that lost pdf file that would be essential!

i have drella in my wantlist. i haven’t listened to it that much, but imo it’s the closest thing we have to a velvet underground reunion album, even if it’s a little unconventional.

but then again, the velvet underground were anything but conventional!

You can still see it on the drops pages on RSD. They don’t make it as obvious but if you're on the page for a specific release, in the "MORE INFO" section there is a yellow block that says "This RSD [EXCLUSIVE/FIRST/ETC] release will be available [DATE]"

It's still there.

Man after seeing what some of these other stores are doing like Bull Moose and Plaid Room, I wish Zia would do something similar... All they're doing is *supposedly* spacing out the line with dividers and letting people in for 15 minutes at a time starting at 7 am. Assigning people a number would be so much better because I'm really not looking forward to waiting in a line, especially in Arizona

Maybe Stinkweeds is a better option?

My local indie store is tiny and does not really work well with social distancing so they are doing a pre book system via an app. Early bookers will get first picks, even if the time they book isn’t until later on in the day, they just email the store with their want list. Sounds like a pretty fair system.
Fortunately, there’s nothing catching my eye this year so nothing to worry about.

Might have to give this a shot, good looks. For some reason Stinkweeds completely slipped my mind. I think I've gotten used to just going to Zia because of how close it is to where I live

In the past our normal routine would be to go to the smaller record store, Record City because they would open earlier than Zia and a whole less people. Mostly get what we want and the head over to Zia to scoop up what the smaller store didn’t get. If I lived in AZ I’d go to Stinkweeds because I like what they’re doing.

i used to like 11th Street first cause they opened an hour before Record City. Then onto RC. But 11th street stopped participating. We do Zia first now. It’s just bigger and they have the room to spread the stuff out more. RC cramps everyone into the same area

I saw some stores getting in the Songs For Drella. What are the chances it'll be sold on Saturday or do I have to wait until October?

This should be an interesting RSD for my state as we're currently in lockdown with a curfew (no travelling between 8:00 pm - 5:00 am) and travel restrictions limit of 5 km from your home.

Stores that are participating are selling online to local addresses only which makes sense but I foresee an early VMP style sever meltdown shitshow of epic proportions from some stores.

Pray for Mojo

I've got nearly 20 records getting flattened at Goldmine Records and am due to pick them up later this weekend! I'm just going to go there to pick them up and risk it, because I feel like the risk is really low during the daytime! And no, shipping those records to me...like I don't want that because I'm picking up a crate, a cleaning turntable and other stuff from there! And I can also pick up something at Happy Valley while I'm at it!
