The Police "Reggatta De Blanc" (1979 A&M; 2018 half-speed remaster from Every Move You Make box set)
I'm playing this specifically for Walking On The Moon and the lyric :

Giant steps are what you take
Walking on the moon
I hope my legs don't break
Walking on the moon

Why would your legs break from taking giants steps while walking on the moon? Gravity is lower on the moon. Makes no sense. The glove don't fit. Why would Chewbacca, who's 8ft tall want to live on Endor with 2 ft tall Ewoks? That does not make sense.

As a bonus, the lyrics for the track "Reggatta De Blanc" are just a bunch of iiiiieeeeeoooo's. What does it mean? You must acquit.

I absolutely adore this record. Too bad the pressing kinda stinks. Have gone through two copies. Both are very noisy and this thing just sounds flat and muddy. Bummer.

I haven't purchased too many Vault packages, but those I have for the most part have been great quality. This one should have been great. Setlist that covered all Jacks bands and from a historic venue in Detroit. Turned out to be a awful recording. Sounds like whoever recorded/mixed it was using a cheap handheld tape recorder. You get the high end of the guitar, no bass, and drums hiding somewhere since they do pop up occasionally. Jack's vocals are front & center, but any background vocals are hidden as well. And the audience is totally washed out which makes the call/response sections seem weird.

I know I won't be able to get through the whole thing, so I'm starting with the bonus Saturday Night Live single (which is great) and see how far I get through the rest.

The Beatles "Let It Be" (1970 Apple Records; 1971 Japanese pressing)
Obviously, this is a superb album. Unfortunately, this wasn't the clean AAA pressing I was hoping it would be. Graded EX and is visually pristine, but there is just too much pops and harsh clicks to make it enjoyable, especially in Let It Be itself. Oh well... pressing sounds good otherwise though. Win some, lose some.

Phoebe Bridgers - Punisher

Since I began working from home last year I would say like 80% of this music I listen to is on vinyl. Because of this, I really have never given Punisher the attention this brilliant album deserves due to the fact that the album sounds fucking terrible on wax. The mastering is bad, the pressing is worse, nothing redeeming about this album (beyond the music).

I played my copy of the reissue (I bought the black wax one), it's not noisy but it's definitely muddy.
Believe it or not the picture disc sounds definitely clearer, it has some surface noise on the run-in groove, but it's noticeable afterwards or between songs.

This is a tough one. I rarely get buyers remorse, so nothing really jumps out at me. I did have a run of bad pressings from Optimal for quite a while.

White Zombie - Gods on Voodoo Moon

Not sure how exactly I came about getting this one. Think it was a part of the old Numero Gold Club. I have the first 2 WZ records and liked them. But when I put this on the turntable I was disappointed. I just hated it. Can’t tell if it is a muddy recording or bad pressing or both.
