I was going to play the 7in from this set, but that was actually the best sounding of the set.

Their early stuff was nothing like the "mainstream" Geffen-era releases. Much more noise style than the later stuff.
I have the Numero box set, and while it doesn't sound great, I have a feeling that's just how it sounds.

The Caroline stuff is not bad. Sort of scratches that Misfits itch, but that 7in is pretty bad

The VMP pressing, with crackling in the right channel on the first disc and at the time I didn’t think to contact them for a replacement. Oh well, at least it’s not really noticeable in the louder parts of the album…

You look so disappointed. It’s not what you hoped for, is it?
Play an album you were excited about but then disappointed you for some reason after you got it. Didn’t live up to the hype? Damaged in shipping? Bad pressing?
Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia - PZYK Vol. 2
Vol. 1 of this is great so I was very excited to get Vol. 2, but everything about this was done wrong. The mix is absolutely awful and the pressing is worse. Nonstop noise overpowers music that sounds like it's being pumped through a wall. I have some of these songs on the artists' albums and they're great, but this comp was not worth the ink on the sleeve. And still I can't bring myself to get rid of it because there's a few tracks I can't find elsewhere...

I just bought this last week. An acclaimed recording but a terrible pressing. It’s a Blue Note 75. I was so disappointed.

The Avalanches - Since I Left You
Was very disappointed to find the samples are different on this pressing. It’s also warped and off center in addition to being one of the noisiest pressing I have.
