Spin The Black Circle - The Pearl Jam Thread

can't keep was a welcome surprise.

we upgraded 10c seats from the back of the floor to aisles on the front floor section, but weren't able to unload the 10c seats on f2f, there were soooooo many available in the few days ahead of the show. and literally the day of the show nearly the entire three row section in front of the mixing desk was made available by ticketbastard at face, not to mention all the "pj premium" tix still available coming down to face value. this whole ticketing thing these days is absolute shit and it is near infuriating that pearl jam - PEARL JAM! - is a willing participant in it.

what value is there in the 10c anymore? good ticket access was the last thing standing, and now even that isn't a benefit.

what a shame. it's not like their legacy will be tainted or anything, but for some of us long time fans it sure feels like it's been a steady decay of their principles.

anyway, see you at ohana!!
Husband won sect 205 row 4 through 10c. We were adamant about going to this show, and I was more concerned with upgrading other shows so we held on to his 10c seats til 2 days before the show. Big mistake. I picked up "obstructed view" tix in a drop the day before the show, which were phenomenal, but husband's tix never sold. So we lost whatever the 10c tix cost, but the side stage seats were $175 each. Added together, it's like paying for premium. (At least that's how I justify it!)

We were sitting right in front of Boom. TBH, I never looked at the screen on the previous 5 shows I attended so this was not obstructed / limited view for me.

Whoooo. Ohana was a blast. I'll do a bigger writeup over on the recent shows thread when I catch up mentally. Two bustouts - Whale Song and Gremmie Out of Control. 17th show and finally got one with Stone on the mic. Little did I know I'd get him doing a full on 50s movie / rock lobster Surf Dance too.

Unbelievably envious. Saw the soundcheck for night 1 and said to my husband, "They're gonna play Big Wave n2. He said to me, "they're gonna play gremmie"

Whale Song!!! Amazing!!!

We seriously considered hopping on a plane but it couldn't work. Lucky you!!!!

All of Eds guest appearances with other bands over the weekend. Way better than my videos. I did get a quick hello / handshake / pic with Glen Hansard as he was walking through the artists area. Lovely guy.

I love Neil Finn's little head nod towards Eddie at the beginning of I Got You, I wonder what took him so long to come onstage?!

If memory serves Ed had just finished Throw Your Arms Around Me, so I'm guessing he wasn't planning on guesting on both songs.

24th anniversary of the first show I went to.

Took me awhile to finally see a live show (still regret not going to Soldier Field in '95 since I lived there, but I was working graveyards and couldn't make it work).

This was a great set for a first show though (or really any show). Long Road to kick it off, Rival, Pilate, SOLAT, Whipping, In My Tree, Breakerfall, the debut of Don't Be Shy. So good.

Just wish I had bought the poster, some day I'll get my hands on one.

What a gig!

Brilliant set list, especially for someone like me that’s not really bothered with much of the newer stuff. Everyone on form, McCready was on fire.

Definitely top 2, possibly the best out the 6 times I’ve seen them.

That's a great setlist! Sounds like a fun show, too, based on the comments on the setlist.

I have an old Pearl Jam long sleeve shirt with a white minister type collar and embroidered PJ logo that looks like a cross... trying to research, probably from Vitalogy days.

Looks like this

Anniversary of the 11/21/2013 show in San Diego. Fantastic show for a number of reasons. 34 songs in almost 3 1/2 hours. Matts Mom was there, as was Mike's dad. Ed had the crowd pass a bottle of wine through the crowd up to his mom in the stands. Plus I got these great shots from my first time in GA.
