Talking U2 with you too.

I'm not a fan of stadium shows either but U2 is my favorite of all time and it's all on their terms. They could easily stop touring whenever they wanted; especially as they are all getting older.

Plus to be brutally honest and I know this is a rough way to think, but once 1 of them passes away, it's definitely a wrap for the group. There is no replacing a member.
Absolutely. Adam was replaced at ONE show in their entire history, and he got sober as a result. That won't happen again.
They were my fave band, I still love them, but I'm not as rabid as I was for my first 30 years of fandom. I've seen them 74 times, Pearl Jam 48, and The National 38. Those are my top three by the number of times I've seen a band. And, obvs, my user name is based on a U2 song.

Hoping to get tix to NYC Beacon event. I saw that the Ryman & Boston prices were posted - ranging from $55 - $252... add in fees, it's prob more like $80 - $290ish +
I fear that the U2 dot com presale will be a clusterf*ck, but I am hoping for the best!! Good luck to all who are trying!!!

I got tickets to see Bono in SF - paid around $110 a ticket for decent (not great) seats.

Did anyone else score any?

Struck out in the queue today for Boston. When it was my turn it was verified resale tickets for $2000 a piece, or a few orchestra tickets that were $250 a piece. I can't justify $500+ = two tickets to a book tour.

That's crazy. $2000 and we don't even really know what the events will consist of.

This sucks. I had a feeling this would be a tough ticket but man, who would pay that for resale tickets?!

all resale tickets for Toronto ($2000+ each, about a dozen total) seemed to be gone almost as fast as regular ones - within 15 minutes or so

Tried during the U2 dot com presale and was shut out. That pesky "other" fan kept beating me to them. Same story during yesterday's general sale.

The most frustrating part is that these seats show as available, but another "fan" gets them, you go back to look for others yet those same seats are still showing in inventory. The TM system is beyond broken.

Really wish that Bono had insisted that these tix could not be resold for above face value or just make them non transferable. I know that doesn't apply for NYC since the dumbass scalpers have laws protecting resales. It's got to change. I saw front row tix for the Beacon Theatre event listed at over $6k a piece. They were about $315 +/- all in with fees.

What worked for me was choosing a price and just hitting best available at that price and buy, didn't look at seating chart or look for specific tickets. Same strategy helped w Depeche Mode tickets. Sucks that it has come to that but the bots / stalkers have gone mad.

I found it interesting that seats would show up as available, and I'd drop it down to a single rather than a pair, then it was no longer available. Some seats can only be sold in pairs. Other friends found that to be the case as well.

I do have some hope that I'll find something for the Beacon show - lots more available now at better prices than day 1, but it's just so frustrating. Husband would like to go, but if I can only get a single, he's encouraged me to buy that.

For NYC area fans, Bono is going to be on Colbert the night after his Beacon book event. I put in for tix, was waitlisted, and then got a confirmation about 10 mins later. General tix go in after Priority ones, so there's still a chance that I won't get in, but it's free and those Beacon tix are still $$$. Hoping for a Beacon drop, but not holding my breath.
