Talking U2 with you too.

Just home from the Bono book tour show at the Beacon. It was fabulous! He told stories from his memoir and sang U2 songs accompanied by a cellist and harpist. Very similar to Springsteen on Broadway… I really had no idea what to expect, and was not disappointed.

if you have the chance to see this show, go. Tons of tickets were dropped last night and this morning, so no need to pay the insane resale prices.

As expected, lots of celebs there tonight, I saw Bill Clinton, Tom Hanks, the Edge, Michael Stipe, and of course Bono’s wife, Ali.

Hoping to get in to Colbert tomorrow.

Thanks for the report! I'm seeing him in SF next weekend, very excited.

Vegas residency announcement?
Without Larry? I had heard rumors that Vegas was supposed to be Achtung Baby in entirety. I suppose they could play without him, but there's only been one U2 show in history that all 4 weren't playing.

My guess, and I'm prob way off, is perhaps a limited run on Broadway of Bono's show.

I'm torn on them possibly playing without Larry. It just doesn't seem right but some people think it's happening.

I rejoined their fan club specifically for early access to tickets for their Vegas residency. My 25th wedding anniversary is next year, and U2 is our favorite band. Keeping my fingers crossed!!!
I was fortunate to attend the first night at the Beacon theatre, but my husband did not go. Seriously considering going again in April as one of the dates falls on our 34th wedding anniversary.
