Continuation of the Skywalker sage *could have* been just fine, or even great. The problem was was threefold:
1. Fates of the original characters: Ford gets his wish to kill off Han, Leia dies offscreen due to tragic circumstances outside anyone's control, Luke thinks so hard that he dies, and Chewie continues to do nothing.
2. New characters are compelling but given nothing to do.
3. Carrie Fisher's death and the course correction back to JJ Abrams after the backlash to Rian Johnson (and the skittishness after having to take control away from Lord & Miller on Solo, and from having to step in and do extensive reshoots for Edwards on Rogue One, AND having to fire Trevorrow from TROS after Book of Henry) meant that they were way too risk-averse to do anything interesting (or coherent) with the last installment.
1) I actually liked Luke's arc/death very much, but agree on the Chewie getting nothing to do issue.
2) Same, so much waster potential which I blame on
3) God, I hate ROS so much. I was so excited by the early trailer, the "dark Rey" reveal (which I thought was going to tie into some kind of Revan/mind wipe type of thing. I totally thought she was going to be the person who had turned Kylo to the dark side, but then got her memory erased and hidden on Jakku. I read the draft of Duel of the Fates and, while it definitely had issues, it was a continuation of TLJ. I also would've loved them to delve into the Mortis mythology on the big screen.

@Mather Andor is really good! I like it much more than the Mandalorian. I feel like it’s an adult show.

Also, after watching the first She Hulk, it’s by far my favorite MU offering. I am working my way through Phase 3 and everything I have seen pales in comparison.
I think She Hulk is tonnes of fun. Wait till you get to Maddissyn. She is the best.
