Ha ha ...gamely plodding on..I’m on episode 12 where eugene gets dumped again ...it’s taken me 6 months months to get thru these episodes..so boring
I mean you're almost done so I would just finish but just warning the 2nd half of the season is not fantastic - probably the weakest. It does offer some closure on what happens to the current community. Not to spoil anything but there are some unimpactful deaths and one that I'm not even sure why they decided to kill off. Felt like they threw that in to stir some emotions... Good luck on finishing 😬

I can’t believe there is any interest in the spin offs

Finished my semi-rewatch of Twin Peaks; “semi” because I’ve seen season one a half-dozen times, but never got past the first third or so of season 2. 2 got a bit shaggy near the middle, but once I embraced the silliness and the full-on descent into soap opera, it was pretty fun. I still see how it’s underwhelming after season 1, which is such a perfect object.

Now to rewatch FWWM for the first time in ~15 years (pre my personal Lynch reevaluation) and finally do my first ever rewatch of The Return (the impetus for my personal Lynch reevaluation). Will I post about The Return here, or in the Movies thread? Fight about it!

Season 2 is, as you say, a shaggy mess, but there is some really great stuff in there. Season 1 is perfect, yes.

I've seen FWWM but never gotten around to The Return. I suppose I really should.

Watched the first two episodes of Willow. It's... interesting. There are things I like about it and things I hate about it. I fear they're rushing things a bit here and there, maybe leaning into the silliness a little too hard, and HOLY CRAP do I hate the use as pop songs as episode end credits. But it looks great, the actors don't suck, and I'm looking forward to seeing where they go with it. (Plus, I'm grateful they decided not to follow the books)

I just watched the first two episodes last night.

Going to watch the 1988 movie today as I have never seen it to fill in some gaps.

Didn't realize this show was being done by Lucas Films LMT. It for sure puts an interesting twist on this as it's not at all the "Disney Channel / Plus Original" vibe I was expecting. I guess there are bits and pieces of that vibe here and there, but for the most part it looks great.

The movie was created and produced by Lucas and directed by Ron Howard. Also the film stars Val Kilmer just as he was ascending to an A list actor. Unfortunately it wasn’t as big of a hit as they had hoped at the time but for me as a grade school aged kid it was a very fun movie. I rewatched it a couple years ago and enjoyed it quite a bit though in a world where Lord of The Rings and Game of Thrones exists the movie does suffer by comparison. I am looking forward to diving into the show but like most Disney+ shows I will watch it wants it concludes so I can freely binge.

If possible, you should try to watch it in 3 episode chunks. Episode 3 is the climax of the 1st arc. Every 3 episodes is like it’s own movie and all of them are excellent.
Took your advice, we're halfway through now. It is unreasonable how good this show is. The pacing is immaculate, the stakes are insane, the acting is phenomenal. I did not expect Andor to be the best Star Wars show. The Mandalorion is still my favourite, because it's fun and new, but there's no denying that Andor is the highest quality content they've put out since the Disney shift.

I love how it explores these different worlds (not taking place on a desert planet is a nice change), the bureaucracy of running the Empire, and the impetus of the Rebellion…On top of an excellent Action/Thriller plot. Tony Gilroy made something special.
