Part 1 of The Witcher season 3 dropped on Netflix today.
Not really cameos as much as guest stars. They all had substantial parts. The whole thing plays like a short movie or holiday special than anything else. Everyone was doing quality work and Jamie Lee Curtis probably secured herself an Emmy.Wow the fishes ep of The Bear was unreal. I didn't know how I'd feel about the plethora of cameos, but it all really worked. They all felt like they fit in perfectly.
Yeah I guess cameo is the wrong word. They all added so much, not just one line here and there. Not really cameos as much as guest stars. They all had substantial parts. Yeah, I initially thought some of them were gonna be kind of cameo-ish but as the hour progressed everybody started to reveal why they were there. Each got at least one standout moment.Yeah I guess cameo is the wrong word. They all added so much, not just one line here and there.
Oh boy. Is this the one where Henry Cavil was recast? Or did that not actually happen?Part 1 of The Witcher season 3 dropped on Netflix today.
Pretty sure it happened. I’m going to watch, I am going to complain, but I’m going to watch.Oh boy. Is this the one where Henry Cavil was recast? Or did that not actually happen?
I looked it up after I asked this. Cavill is still in season 3, season 4 will have the new guyPretty sure it happened. I’m going to watch, I am going to complain, but I’m going to watch.
I really enjoy Platonic (Rose Byrne is a gem) and it's been out for a bit but Shrinking is great, too.Mostly here to say that S3 of Dave was sooo good. Most underrated show on television, and I don't think I'll laugh harder all year than I did during the Brad Pitt heavy finale.
Really hope it gets renewed. But if it doesn't it actually ended on a high note and in a way that works.
Also:
S2 of Yellow Jackets kinda went off the rails at the end their. Typical Showtime.
Succession's last season wrapped perfectly and I don't think I would have wanted a S5.
Beef was fun. Too bad I accidentally watched epsidoe 10 ahead of 9.
Oh and I don't think I ever checked back in after binging the Leftovers. Definitely as good as it's cult advertised it to be.
Gonna do s2 of the Bear next but then will be kind of rudderless. Any suggestions?
I watched the new Night Court (which is not great) and now I'm watching the original, which I haven't seen since I was a kid. We’ve been binging Newhart and News Radio in the evenings before bed, both are really funny and comfortable shows.
Also, if anyone is a game show nerd, the streaming app Xumo has a The Price Is Right the Bob Barker years channel that is currently airing episodes from 1983. We watched A LOT of that last night.
Love the classic Night Court! It doesn’t completely hit its stride until Markie Post shows up but the the season one Christmas episode with the Michael J Fox guest spot was fun one. We’ve haven’t rewatched that whole series yet, just a few episodes here and there but maybe we will give it a go once we finish up with these other two.I watched the new Night Court (which is not great) and now I'm watching the original, which I haven't seen since I was a kid.
The Michael J Fox one was great. It was fun to watch him an A-hole. Almost every episode has some sort of cameo by somebody who is much more popular later on.Love the classic Night Court!
