Surviving Summer season 2 dropped on Netflix.

Because the episodes are only like 23 to 26 minutes each, it only took my like 3 hours to get through the whole season. It as a fun ride.

I haven’t watched the second season yet, but from what I read, all involved knew it wouldn’t be back for a third during production.
That’s not what l’ve read. Especially given how the season ends. I read that it was brought up that it might not be brought back depending on the numbers but the creators and showrunner where hoping for at least a 3rd season so they could, ya know, show the Lakers actually beating The Celtics.

Seriously, Now that Succession and Barry are done there isn’t a ton of quality programming currently in production on Max.

Finally finished my rewatch of all 6 seasons of The Expanse. It held up well, though S2 was too long at 13 episodes and even S5 could have been trimmed a bit. I think this time around I warmed up to Steven Strait as Holden (though he played him too world weary and a little too humourless).

I think it is a good sign when you rewatch a series and feel bad again that it is over.
I could see rewatching it, my wife and I both loved it...she's currently reading the books but I'm not sure I'll go that route.

Season 4 of Sex Education has dropped on Netflix.

David Rose was a surprise. Was he in last season and I forgot about that or his his character new in season 4?

S3E9 was another excellent episode of Rez Dogs. Man I'll miss this show when it's gone.
This wasn't the series finale was it?

Agreed about "another excellent episode". RD has, since the beginning, had a left field take on storytelling but I think this season was the best at doing that. One could make the argument that it was (superficially) disjointed and seemed to pick up and drop arcs only to revisit them much later. There are plenty of shows that have done that because of bloat and too many storylines to juggle, but I think this was an example of casting a net over a large concept and being exact and lean in execution. What I walked away with as the overarching thru-line regardless of the many characters or timelines were these ideas: community, generational trauma, and the communities role in facing that trauma. I think, IMHO, if you want one scene that served as an encapsulation of the entire season, it would be Willy Jack visiting her aunt in prison and her use of snacks to illustrate community and the unseen connections binding of it all.
