The Beatles

I know I should and eventually I might. I think the real issue is every time I wanna play the Beatles I could unseal Sgt. Pepper’s or I could spin Rubber Soul or Revolver or The White Album, etc… so it end up staying sealed.

This will sound incredibly dumb but in my head I hope they reissue all the mono albums then I probably wouldn’t think twice about tearing off the cellophane.
I want mono reissues very badly too.

Original Monos are out there people...I’ve now got a full UK run of 60’s pressings ...which cost a lot less than the reissue prices your showing ... prices went from £15 to the most expensive mono numbered White album at £100 ...but decent copies can be found (including a Mono Magical Mystery Tour for £20 who has still had the original import sticker)
And yes I have the Mono box set too !

I *may* have gone on a Beatles buying frenzy. Recently got this

And it sounds fucking incredible (just like I expected). Decided since I now have this, Revolver, Rubber Soul, and White Album in Mono, what kind of Beatles fan would I be without

For good measure I also found

With confirmed A1/B3 in the runouts.
Got my “NM/NM” Mono MMT today, and it’s NOT NM. Hairlines on both sides and a definite mark of some kind on the title track, don’t know if it’s audible or not. The booklet is falling out of the gatefold too. Asking for a partial refund, but we’ll see. 🤷🏼‍♂️

The seller says he’s going to open a claim with the USPS, but I don’t think they would have caused hairlines or the inner booklet to tear from the gatefold. He shipped the record inside the gatefold, so it was tight. All I want is $20 compensation for improper grading (I paid $170), which I think is fair.

Anyone think the USPS would be at fault for these issues?

No. And I think $20 is insufficient, so the seller should jump at that offer.

The booklet perhaps. Those things are a piece of shit and come away far too easily. Given the sort of normal handling post might get I could see a drop that might not even dent the box causing it to come away. I dropped mine, but caught it, and it was enough for that to happen…

The hairlines no way. They were already there.

I’m listening to it, and there are loud pops on Strawberry Fields, MMT, and Blue Jay Way. He said he bought it new, listened to it three times so it should be “near mint”. I amended my request to either a $50 refund or full refund and I’ll send it back. We shall see….

I grabbed. Vg+ copy which has a drill hole in the jacket, most of the booklet missing and hairlines on the vinyl for 67.50. Vinyl plays clean. I’ll take it.

The seller just offered me a $25 refund. I copy/pasted the difference between VG and VG+ and held firm for $50 refund or I send it back. I think paying $120 for a VG copy is more than fair.

Also, you’ve wait this long if he’s unwilling to work with you then get the full refund and keep your eyes peeled. I am sure another one will pop up agains soon. As I understand it, the Beatles were a fairly popular Rock & Roll band in their day.
