The Beatles

Also, you’ve wait this long if he’s unwilling to work with you then get the full refund and keep your eyes peeled. I am sure another one will pop up agains soon. As I understand it, the Beatles were a fairly popular Rock & Roll band in their day.
Yeah honestly I’d be fine spending $120 for this copy. It does sound fantastic despite the pops, but if he’d rather refund that’s fine too. He hasn’t responded yet, though, so I’m wondering if he’ll accept either option.

Response from seller. May I remind you there are three songs with loud pops after cleaning and the booklet is falling out. I copy/pasted Discogs grading for VG+ (light marks that don’t affect one’s experience) and VG (surface noise is evident upon playback but not overpowering).

“Give me a break, nobody in their right mind would rate that VG.I have been collecting for over 30 years and have sold hundreds of records here on Discogs with never a complaint about my grading. Vinyl is an imperfect format, It is obvious it is not for you. $25 or ship it back to me for a refund.”

Man, this is the kind of thing that causes nightmares any time I even think about selling records (though somehow it doesn't stop me from buying them, haha!). What are you going to do? Sounds like you're happy with the overall sound of the record, but the $25 refund is below what you've asked. Kind of a bummer all around.

Also, I find it very off-putting when someone 'pulls rank' like this. "I've been collecting blah blah blah 30 years blah blah blah" Feels like bullying.

Oh I’ll send it back. Trying to make him pay for return shipment since it was improperly graded. The most irritating thing is that he said he’s sold hundreds of records. I looked at his profile, he has 131 feedback, mine is 251. And to accuse me of wanting to resell 🤬🤬

EDIT: he didn’t accuse me of anything, I misinterpreted what he said.

I kindly pointed out that I've sold twice as many records as he has (I do have way too many records just sitting). I'll just pay for return shipping and submit a return shipping refund through PayPal.

You were more reserved than me. I would have said "After 30 years and hundreds of sold records I would have thought you would have been able to grade properly by now"

I did tell him just because a record looks clean doesn’t mean it plays without problems, that when there are sporadic loud pops on three different tracks it is by definition VG. Then I sent him a link on how to properly grade records 🤣
