Yeah BN is doing color variants for brick and mortars that are designated BN shops or something….

They announced it awhile back. It’s an entire series. Believe it’s just the BNC plates being pressed to blue with an OBI. It’s for the Blue Note Authorized Dealer and should only be available at record shops.
 
Well, broke down and ordered the Sonny Rollins Village Vanguard Tone Poet. The glowing reviews on Discogs paired with the $51 price tag on Amazon, and had some small amount of credit. All said and done it was $43. So $5 more than retail price for 1xLP Tone Poet. Couldn't resist🤷

Hear nothing but great things. I’ve only done the hi res digital once. If I continue to come back to it, I’ll have to grab it.

I did grab the Doug Watkins and Kenny Dorham today with the UMG discount!

Note the text in the book regarding RVG monitoring with cans and some distortion.
It's minor but noticable on my system.
Adds character to the cut IMO.

He’s widely followed, so his sales usually command high prices. But occasionally, something slips through the cracks at below market value for no apparent reason, but I’ve never been the beneficiary of that until today.

Today, I won his auction for this 1957 version of Milt Jackson with John Lewis, Monk, et al. It’s not the most in-demand title, but $59 for a VG++ copy of a DG/ear BN is damn good these days.

Great score. There are a few "social media" sellers now that are getting high prices so you have done well here. Theres a number of Instagram users now that have amassed a small following of people that are willing to throw money at their sales knowing they are generally good at grading.

Saying that though, one of the very early "big" Instagram users recently had some controversy by selling records that he didnt ship then blocking the buyers.
