I know, but it's still excellent!Haha! I was just teasing!
Way better than self destructive behavior! Now only 28 days to go!!I was planning to do a no-buy September, and still plan to for the rest of the month, but semi-local shop I quite like added a Blowout section to their website and do free shipping within province on orders over $150 before tax. There happened to be a lot of stuff I'd been wanting awhile and there is some tension at home presently, so instead of engaging in more self-destructive behaviour or eating, I just ordered a bunch of records...

The Ronnie Boykins wasn't on sale, but I've had it in my cart waiting on $115.01 worth of other items
10 brand new records, shipped for $173 after taxes feels like a steal compared to so many other orders I've placed!
$400 Night Moves didn't float your boat??I did not do a thing because the wife was with me and wouldn't let me. The only one that tempted me was a signed Grateful Dead that had Jerry and Pigpen on it, but it was a fleeting temptation as it was $2500.

OMG - husband would love something signed by Pigpen... but, he'd KILL me if I spent that much!I did not do a thing because the wife was with me and wouldn't let me. I don't think I'd ever go for something like that, but if I won Powerball maybe. These kinds of purchases are only for those who have too much money or too little common sense. Even drunk I don't think I'd ever bite. The cooler head prevailed!
Maybe $5? But typically no, never. It pisses me off how much some try to charge for that.Am I the only one that won’t pay a premium for a signature?
Honestly, a signature means much more to me getting it done in person. That said, I "won" this item through a fundraising auction for WXPN radio out of Philly, and yes, I paid a premium . It's a guitar signed by the members of The National. Then Covid hit and they wouldn't ship it, so I had to wait at least 6-7 months until they let me drive to the offices for curbside pick up.Maybe $5? But typically no, never. I agree. If it's something I can showcase then I see it differently than something that is just going to sit in a box. And I wish more bands did the lyric sheets. If they aren't going to sign the jacket at least give me something cool like that.Depends on the signature and what it's on really. There's a massive gap between something really unique and showpiecey or sentimental and like...a signed CD booklet passed down in a line of 5000 CD booklets. I dropped something like $40 on a lyrics sheet to Killer signed by Phoebe which I don't regret and in general will pay a premium but it's variable
