I’m very curious to see the Kyrie thing unfold AGAIN. Marks isn’t gonna get what he thinks he should get because Kyrie is a poisonous asset. Why would a team give up much of anything to get him if they know that he may not re-sign with the team trading for him? Who even has assets to give up for Kyrie to salary match and why would they want to add picks? I feel like it’s almost a lock for him to go to LA but don’t know what they would trade for him? Unless they manage to also trade KD and get picks? Then take westbrook back from LA? Don’t see WB and KD wanting to play together again…
but who is gonna want simmons? kyrie and simmons are both negative assets. no team will be able to swing a trade for both guys financially. even if the nets were able to get a pick for Kyrie from the Lakers, they would have to pass any pick(s) they'd get for kyrie to a third team to get rid of simmons and probably even include one of their own picks.
I personally like KD and he’s real fun to watch. I don’t really feel bad because he could have told the nets to trade Kyrie and not Harden (although Harden to Philly seemed inevitable). He decided to stick by Kyrie who didn’t seem to return the favor. KD is probably gone too unless Marks somehow gets another superstar in BK and don’t see any path to that. But again, I don’t see a team giving up what Marks thinks KD is worth.I don't disagree. It's not viable. Which was kind of his point... he doesn't see any deal where it's worth it for the Nets to punt on this season.

At the expense of The Storm unfortunately. Had we kept Stewie we woulda had Vandersloot come aboard too. It’s probably better though to have the two super teams split in separate conferences so they can meet in the Finals.
I’m a Storm fan until the Bay Area eventually gets a team or they decide to bring the Monarchs back from the dead. Trust me, I’m trying to cope. Not a fan of this off-season but trying to make the best of it.
