Lakers....won a trade..

I think all 3 teams did well, but yeah, not having to give up both firsts and having it be protected...

Lakers- A. They are way better. Vando and Beasly are both one deminsional but good at what they do. I don't like Russel but James will make it work.

Wolves- B+. They badly need an adult in that lockerroom and were gonna lose Russel for nothing. Mike has on and off court chemistry with Rudy. And three 2nds is nothing to sneeze at when your GM has drafted Monte Morris, Jokic, Cancar and Vandy in that round.

Utah- B-. They def paid value to get off Conley's deal. But now they can tank.

How long til the Wolves are shopping Towns?

That would have been baller tho

If he could have sky hooked from 3. 🐐
That was my go to move when I played the 4 position in high school. Get down low. Sky hook! I practiced it so much I used to be able to hit it from 3 often (for fun not in a game obv). I did it recently coaching my cousins rec team of juniors n seniors and felt like the goat.

That was before I almost blew out my knee trying too hard In the 5 on 5 scrimmage

Even though I was a huge Lakers fan, my move was the Kevin McHale fade away, because I’m white.

The Lakers getting 3 good rotation players and offloading one of the worst contracts in the league (even if expiring) for a protected 1st is insanely good, even if it doesn't necessarily make them a contender.

As for GOAT talk I don't tend to think of things in terms of 3pt shooting and spacing vs post play. We have the historical data that tells us that long 2 and ft% will usually translate to 3p%. I think of them as hand checking vs no illegal defense. Imo Jordan would have a harder time dealing with modern help defense than LeBron would with hand checking. But again, still impossible to compare eras especially with the current CBA. It's literally impossible to overpay LeBron with current max contract rules, but also Pippen may have been the best value contract ever for his bulls tenure relative to the rest of the league.

Fun fact: my MIL had a few classes with Scottie Pippen at Central Arkansas

Valid points. The whole 🐐 talk is kind of silly and probably invented by sports writers to sell publications. Every generation has great players but to compare is futile.

LeBrons a great player don't get me wrong, but if Kareem or Malone could have gone straight to the league after HS they'd have the same numbers. LeBrons had the advantage of everything lining of perfectly for him his whole career, and when it doesn't, he's taken advantage of living in the age of player empowerment where he can just jump ship into a more lucrative situation.

He's probably number 9 or 10 on my GOAT list.

I mean scoring record aside Lebron is the only player that legit could have played any position on the court and ended top five all time in that position. In a time where the game has evolved into a 3 ball heavy league he's thrived
