I kept going back and forth on which one I'd rather keep. Yes Jimmy is the more proven commodity, but hes just about to come out of his prime while Tobi is just going into his prime, so as far as a 5 year deal goes I do feel more comfortable handing one to Tobias than Jimmy, even if I think Jimmy is the better player (not by much) now.

I'm a huge Jimmy Buckets fan. I think the competitiveness he brings was good for the Sixers and his two way play is better than Tobi. I also liked that he could play the point in crunch time and did so very well. He was good to have next to Ben without a jumper. Agree with you on being hesitant to do the 5 year max on him though...Tobi just kinda disappeared this post season but could have been a result of too many cooks in the kitchen.

I think they are capped out but not 100% sure with all the moving pieces. Danny is gonna stay if Kawhi stays or maybe go to Dallas or Clippers if not. Lakers could try to sign him too if they whiff on Kawhi.

You may be right...depending on how Mike Scott was signed, seems like they might have 7 mil left? Not sure how up to date it is though...depends on TJ too. If he bolts they will get a little bit more.

I'm higher on Tobias than most and think he is their best shooter and probably who is going to take a decent amount of end game shots. I mostly just think they are going to have to out defend/out 2pt shoot people. I think Horford is going to free Embiid up a lot on the low post. If Simmons can improve his FT% and take it to the hole without fear of going to the line then I think they are clear favorites in the east. Add a shooter and they are clear favorites to win it all imo.

I agree with you unless Kawhi joins the Lakers. Then they’d be prohibitive title favorites.

It was thought that Sixers had the full room exception of $7.7M but word came out that they front loaded Horford's contract leaving them about $2M in cap space for this year.

Same. He can go anywhere he wants but the lakers as far as I'm concerned. I really like that this upcoming season doesnt have a clear favorite and Kawhi to the Lakers would ruin that.

It would almost be KD levels of bad. Kawhi to the Clippers or staying in Toronto for a 1+1 would be best case scenario.

The Lakers and Raptors are are #1-2 favourite teams so, even though it would be better for the league if he stayed in Toronto, I would love if he went with the Lakers. Just no Clippers please!
