Yep, they were a bit tongue in cheek about the satanic image. Still sucked though, IMO. This is an interesting contrast to Eminem actually, who is also a somewhat tongue-in-cheek provocateur, but objectively does it brilliantly musically. Which one is actually "worse"?I had not read the book entry on this until today. The book frames this as a Kiss style tongue in cheek thing. I wish I had read it when I listened. I wondered if I would have thought differently about it.
I think this quote from the cover of the album is funny:
Only gave it one listen. Rather pedestrian I thought. But was just listening to it on YouTube so the fidelity was that of a old AM transistor radioHaven't heard the new Manics song yet but the cover art seems like a throwback to their early albums.
Yeah. It wasn't bad. But it was definitely not a modern classic.Only gave it one listen. Rather pedestrian I thought. But was just listening to it on YouTube so the fidelity was that of a old AM transistor radio
Make sure the repeat thing isn’t on.Why do I feel like I've been listening to the same Eminem song for the past 45 minutes?
Nope. It's just the fact that every song sounds exactly the same.Make sure the repeat thing isn’t on.
I did that with one of the 1000 albums one day. Didn’t realize I was listening to the bonus disc. Was about 20 remixes of 3 songsWhy do I feel like I've been listening to the same Eminem song for the past 45 minutes?
White Blood Cells for me but this is probably there best even if it’s not my personal favorite (though it’s up there). This was my entry point and I still think the finest thing Jack White has ever done.
