Day 20 - live

Jeff Buckley - Grace

I was lucky enough to see Jeff Buckley in 1995, in Wolverhampton of all places (I think it cost a fiver - I've got the ticket still somewhere). He was remarkable, and it still pains me to think what he could have gone on to do. Still, "Grace" has been in my personal top 10 ever since it came out and moves me to this day.

Day 20: You gotta see them live.

My Morning Jacket - The Waterfall

I've only seen this band once, the least of any of my absolute favourite artists. Plus it was just an opening set for Wilco and Bob Dylan (pretty much my dream lineup), so I'd love to see them play a full headlining set somewhere like Red Rocks. Fingers crossed that 2020 sees a proper end to their hiatus.

This is definitely not their best album but it's still quite good, and the only one I have on vinyl from this decade.

Yeah it is. And it has Bernard Purdie on drums! I almost played a Rusty Bryant record I got last month that has Purdie on it as well.
Purdie is awesome. He’s also featured on the Pucho & The Latin Soul Brothers Jazz Dispensary release if I am not mistaken. I still need to pick of them Rusty Bryant release they have a copy at my LRS too I’ve just been putting it off.

Day 20 - Live Show

In recent memory I haven't seen a show that I've thought more about than Paul Simon. I was so transfixed through the entire performance that I didn't budge for a beer or anything else. Huge highs and beautiful lows. And he ended the encore with the video monitors and lights off, band gone, sitting on a stool with his acoustic under a spotlight playing Sound of Silence. Fuckin' a.

So I'll play this one:

Day 20 - You gotta see them live.
Play a record from a band you have seen live...or want to see live

We use to make it an annual thing to see these guys in Toronto, I think 3 years in a row we did it. Such a blast live and I hope I can make it out to see them again soon!

Thee Oh Sees - A Weird Exists

Father John Misty - God's Favorite Customer

Seen him 5 times making him my most seen artist and he never falls to amaze and captivate me

1st time I saw him was in summer of 2015. I was obsessed with Honeybear so I made my brother go to New York with me to see him perform in central park. We rented the shitiest Airbnb imaginable but hor damn it was so worth it.

2nd time I saw him was right in philly in 2016, and after the show I managed to met him and get his autograph.

3rd time was at Coachella 2017. He was one of the main reasons I went. Again I somehow convinced my brother to go with me and honestly was a weekend I'll never forget

4th time was again in 2017 but this show I consider my favorite concert of all time. I managed to get front row and it was seriously the most magical experience of my life

5th time was this year with jason Isbell. We were in the nosebleed section and it was kinda just an ok show lol
