The conspiracy theorist in me wonders if while they were packing these, they noticed the errors and went “oh shirt! Someone shut down the forking forums!”
I only wish I would have thought to do this earlier before they deleted all the criticism because those threads were the ones the shills were really attacking people in the most. Still, a good idea and I am following suit.I went through and found all the existing posts I could of people being jackasses about the forum or people who brought up the mistakes and I reported the posts as breaking the rules of the group.
No. I felt like I was pushing it reporting the people posting negative about the forums and “negative” posters though. I like where your head is though.Hey, faceboook users, if negative comments about the product are being removed because they aren't about 'the music', are positive comments about the product being removed too?

Exactly.Hey, faceboook users, if negative comments about the product are being removed because they aren't about 'the music', are positive comments about the product being removed too?
Yes, the color is off but not quite as drastic as those two you posted. It's definitely more red than orange though. It does NOT say stereo on the jacket. It says stereo on the blue note labels on the vinyl themselves though.
Yes we pointed out that it has the stereo label on the outside of the sleeve. That was removed/only on the mock-up. The sticker on the actual album says stereo though despite it being Mono.Stereo on the label error was pointed out at announcement time. Didn't VMP say it would be corrected in the final product? Of course, there is no evidence since they nuked the forum.
These clowns are proving that they cannot play this game. The records sounding good is not their doing. Making sure the products look OK was the only thing they were totally responsible for, and they flunked the task.
This anthology thread is fun too!!!

Amen. It's why I truly doubt that Blue Note was okay with and approved these covers as VMP stated. It almost seems to me like someone at VMP emailed Blue Note asking for the album cover, some Blue Note intern sent back the CD cover and everyone at VMP was like oh yea this works! That post on the Hoffman forum that @Skalap posted is 100% spot on. VMP should have never accepted the CD cover as an acceptable alternative, especially with the back cover having entirely the wrong information on it.I just cant get over the "I just care about the music" people and those who shouted down any criticism. There are fucking books devoted to the Blue Note album covers. Getting these right should have been the absolute baseline expectation.
I think the thread got shut down before I saw that pointed out haha. I remember there being a lot of questions left unanswered about the product...it's all a pretty big bummer. Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst when it comes to replacement sleeves. That label error was spotted then, too, I'm afraid.
