Vinyl Me Please Anthology

I actually posted about it on the FB group, but I really thought VMP would be instigating more discussion about Blue Note. Wasn't that part of the sales pitch of the added value extras? Or am I mis-remembering?

Also, perhaps I'm just a luddite who doesn't use FB much, but is there a way to block just one or two members of the FB group so I don't see them anymore? I did it in my personal feed, but don't see a way to do it within the group.
Just highlight their post and it will show up in a menu.

So... let me get this straight... VMP claimed to be building an exclusive community, so they nuked the forum containing all their members, started a FaceBook group and stuck a couple linked podcasts on it then pretty much ignored it, then actively deleted any comments that were negative in any way towards their product under the guise of "being about the music" even though the criticisms are specifically in relation to their errors with said music product.

You know what this is my friends?

THIS IS A DICTATORSHIP.

Seems to be going around these days...

Just for the record I'm jokingnotjoking here. But seriously fuck them for this disgusting deleting comments bullshit.

Value extras were: "We’ll also be dropping exclusive content, AMAs, listening parties, giveaways and discounts for this group." They had one AMA with Storf that was a video AMA. That's it so far and they said they have nothing else planned at this very moment...

Come to think of it too...it also says that all the albums will be foil stamped and that didn't happen either.

I actually think that response was solely in regards to the plans about the mistake.

Ah okay. I honestly wasn't expecting those things to come to fruition anyway although a MM discount would be pretty nice...they also said all the albums would be foil-stamped and that seems to not be true either.

Hey man, just moved to Nashville for the summer. Any music/record spots you would recommend? Also, sorry this is not anthology related, still waiting on mine
Third Man is worth checking out if they have an event/concert you would be into. Never got a chance to see a show there when I visited last since they didn't have anything going on but seems like a cool spot to see a concert.

So my whole post was removed and I received this message:

"The proper channel for any issues or questions is anthology@vinylmeplease.com. We've heard your feedback and are continuing to work with Blue Note on what's possible to address concerns around the Dexter Gordon jacket and will update as we have more information. We built this community for discussion around music, label history, & as a shared space for people who are passionate about jazz."

I reported their group for harassment. Not accepting feedback about a project they created a group for is harassment.

Just read this over at the fb group. They could have just said they were working on the jacket update without all the rules sass. Part of our $230 included membership to the group, so they shouldn’t be deleting anyone.

I’ve been a champion of VMP for over two years now. This whole Anthology “experience” so far is really trying my patience.
