Ditto happiness here. I've been after a mono Booker T Soul Dressing for months now. I had a cheap mono that was too noisy and picked up a stereo copy. Just not the same. I record all my LPs and bounced it down from a stereo to a compressed mono mix, but it still didn't hold a candle to the original mono. That's when I discovered the true power of a good mono mix.I think I figured out what the records in the Stax box will be. I think this is pretty similar to the one others have posted, but I believe the Otis Redding is set in stone.
Booker T - Soul Dressing
Sam + Dave - Hold On I'm Coming
Otis Redding - The Soul Album
Bar-Kays - Soul Finger
Eddie Floyd - Never Found A Girl
Johnnie Taylor - Raw Blues
Albert King - Lovejoy
William Bell - Phases of Reality
The chronology and lack of recent reissues fits all of them. Personally I will be very happy if this is it.
Soul Finger is also incredible!
