Vinyl Me Please Anthology

Is there no discount for former anthology subscribers anymore? I got an email but only the "member discount" one. Just curious--not ordering this one, but wanted to get the Impulse one whenever that comes out...

You might've been the one to ask in Discord, but I felt like I'd pass the info along here. Looks like you can contact CS if you didn't get a discount code with this one.

Ghetto Records podcast is out and Storf said there's a hint at the end. Military rank and Chicago points to The Story of Cadet.

Now to figure out what will be included...

Going back to the jazz anthology well again I see...
I'm no historian, but Wikipedia showed some fun stuff in their discography. Not sure if they'd go the Willie Nelson route with bigger titles like Electric Mud (which has had quite a few pressings within the last 5 years) or make it more of a deep dive.

Don't get me wrong, I love Jazz. Looking at the anthology list though there's more Jazz anthologies than other genres. Zero hip hop (I know there's supposed to be one in the works), outside of Zamrock no other rock.

Two more Jazz anthologies confirmed in the works.

Cadet also has blues….and we know this is coming out before Impulse.

Based on what Storf has said, some of these anthologies have been in the works for years. There are a lot in the works including hip hop…

a dorothy ashby album is confirmed (just not sure which one yet...)

I'd be real interested in a Cadet set. Especially if they throw some blues in there as well.
I think there's definitely some variety to be thrown in there. Also wondering if we get some Etta James. Outside of Tell Mama and Sings Funk (which they already did), here Cadet stuff hasn't been repressed.

the real question for me is if any Argo is included....since Cadet was originally Argo

some of it was reissued but listed under Argo instead (like Queen of Soul):

Going to get to the bottom of this. Shamelessly asking Storf on Discord.
