Vinyl Me Please Anthology

Well, I mean, devil’s advocate for a second, what’s @Enoch going to do about it? Quit? @Enoch has been this level of customer, while requesting better service, for years. They’ve never given it to him, and have never seen any negative repercussion for it. I’m thinking that from their perspective what makes no sense is making extra effort to make @Enoch happy if they don’t have to. They literally can’t make any more money off of him than they already do, so...why do anything differently?
This is quite fair but you also don't want to piss me off by ignoring me because they can only lose from me by doing so

Yyyyyeah...maybe. But it wouldn’t surprise me if they’re willing to push the boundaries of what you’ll put up with, either. For as good of a customer as you’ve been, you’ve also been one of their most consistently demanding in terms of always trying to hold them to the absolute highest standard of information & service. If they’re signaling that they’re going to be even less forthcoming than they have been with information, then they’re effectively going to be testing your limits.
unfortunately, I could see them doing this but it is a terrible idea, if they are doing this to me I am sure they doing it to others too, that is a huge gamble (and a dumb one, if so)

They don’t seem to be afraid to shed customers right now. Not saying it’s smart, but the only difference between you and some of the rest of us is more sunk cost.

To be clear, I’m also not encouraging you to quit. Just saying I’m not sure their definition of incentive is the same as their customers’ right now.
I know you aren't, but it is something I have been thinking on, my policy is don't make a knee jerk reaction (everyone's definition of this is quite different) I am willing to ride out the year unless something more major happens which wouldn't surprise me. The biggest fear for me is they go under and I lose the money I already invested through my year sub (Feb) and self-given gift cards/credits

Obviously that’s no longer true with the end of curated title sales for the time being, but they’re not the upstart they like to play at being. They were a major player just two years ago, and still are, albeit in a modified form.
I think curated titles were a losing venture for them especially when they made the change to ship them out when available from the other distribution center

I think reports of VMP’s financial desperation are greatly exaggerated. Don’t forget that in 2017, the Denver Post reported that VMP projected they would be the third largest vinyl retailer (behind only Amazon and UO) by the end of that year.

Yeah honestly if they're still shipping for "free" then they are not in bad financial straits...

Yeah and didnt they crack 30,000 subs sometimes early last year? Or maybe in 2017?
