Ah, didn't realize that. Just assumed if they were so specific with "boogaloo," they would probably pick the best/most popular album of the genre.Fania recently reissued that, didn’t they? I own it. Sounds great.

I remember being so excited by Nat Turner Rebellion and it is such a great and fun album. Wish I could get that excitement back to be honest!Spinning Nat right now, I guess it was worth the wait even if there should have never been a wait (this will probably be a one of my top Classics picks)
Yeah, there is a part of me that is I am glad I got it (I go into these blind and really liked it) but also feels salty that I had to wait and get it because VMP screwed up because I really like itI remember being so excited by Nat Turner Rebellion and it is such a great and fun album. Reached out to CS regarding Nat and they sent me the wrong tracking number.

So the lucky guy in France might get his NTR some day while I'm still sitting here, waiting patiently.
P.S. Of course I added mine later, after 12 days they completed processing in Melrose. So still no real movement here.
Yes DHL "tracking" is a pretty subjective term. It tracks something, just not necessarily your package.i had it a couple of times that my package arrived in germany while the tracking still said "proscessing in melrose"

Depends on the record. But it's often 5+Hey seriously, can someone give me feedback on their experience comparing remastered albums to originals from VMP???
I get that it will not be static ( different mixes different genres, and different engineers), but how much better are they on average than other standard reissues?
Say 1 to 10.
1 being It's essentially the same
10 being the difference will blow your socks off.
I am a Christian...but I totally get and respect your stand point. This is a great place to share those perspectives because its interesting information and worthy of validation. It takes a special kind of strength to align one's own content filters with personal beliefs...something I am working on...but fall short of constantly. Sorry there will be a gap in your Classics collection.I'm not going to impugn anyone's motives for responding or for their lack of reading comprehension, but the incredibly ridiculous responses to me are just getting to be too much. When I say that I have no interest in listening to gospel music, that's it. That's the statement I'm making.
One of my majors in college was Religious Studies. I have spent a lot of time researching and thinking about all of it, "any Western art" included. I was in Philadelphia for a cousin's wedding and while I wandered by the Liberty Bell, the one thing I truly made sure to do was spend an afternoon at The Barnes. I didn't spend much time with the crucifixion or angel paintings, but of course looked at them, primarily for technique and color palettes of the era. The other masters were far more interesting, though, so I focused on those.... just as I choose to spend my available money and listening time on non-gospel artists.
Highly recommend Banks!Probably gonna swap SRT for something else. I gave it a few listens and I don't think it would ever be a record that I would play much.
Considering Sorcerer, Darrell Banks, or Fancy Free but I'm open to suggestions.

Some guy who doesn't post here said:Max Roach < Alice Coltrane < William Bell < Koko < Buddy Guy < Archie Shepp < Milton < Lightmen < Lafayette < Darrell Banks << Eddie Floyd <<< SWF < Donald Byrd < Booker
Sorcerer was an Essentials release so it had a larger print run than any Classics. But it's been out for a while, so who knows how close it is to selling out. You could always tweet Storf to ask.
As for me, this month I'm swapping for Little Milton. I do want Floyd, Byrd and Booker, but it looks like all three of those are gonna be around for a good while. I have no idea what happened to make VMP have so many leftover copies of Booker lol
All three are really good choices. If you want to play the "which one is closest to selling out" odds, Storf posted this Classics inventory list back around early April:
(Max Roach has since sold out)

Some of them predate the not repressing track releases, otherwise, I think he meant that sometimes things go out of stock until there is an inventory reconciliation/people canceling orders and then come backPretty interesting response indicating that some records might not go away permanently.
