Vinyl Me Please Classics

Fania album maybe?

This VMP article describes a few albums as boogaloo. But I'm not sure what their track record is on issuing ROTMs they have previously written about in best-of guides.

The Soul Sauce album TCell linked above is mentioned here though, along with Ray Barretto - La Cuna and Willie Bobo - Bobo Motion.

I'm over the moon about Sister Rosetta this month. I usually stay away from listening to the album on Spotify, other than the 30 second snippets, so that when the record arrives it's new to me. I also had to pick up the Outkast album because, dirty south.
For the folks thinking about swapping be careful. You might end up like me with the Blossom Dearie album. I swapped out but now I wish I had it.

That great article courtesy of our very own Queen of the Forum, @mcherry !

Obviously, I'd prefer any Fania, since I have Soul Sauce. But it's a damn great record

I like this months as well. This has been remastered, so it's a win to me. I do wish it included Strange Things Happen Every Day, but they may offer that in some other format.

Soul Sauce would be an outstanding ROTM. Outside of Cal, Stan and Jobim I'm relatively unaware of what latin blockbuster jazz albums/artists are out there.

Actually, as soon as I typed, I’m having second thoughts. I have this exact track list already.

Someone with more experience around here tell me how valuable the remastering will be. Is it gonna be WAY better than my reissue?

If not I may swap. As I’m new and a bunch of swap stuff still appeals to me.

I would guess "Acid" by Ray Barretto.
