Vinyl Me Please Classics

He kinda cryptically lied last time around, he didnt flat out say "Nope!" to a single artist guess like this. He just said he wouldn't give their post a "Like" and said No Soup For You

I was thinking other times, but can't remember specifics. He has mistakenly claimed no one has guessed something when it has been guessed before. I think last time was Lord Finesse. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he didn't see it, but he should at least do a ctrl+F before he says absolutes like that.

If you count the two Lee Dorsey albums, Life Love and Faith, and In The Right Place as Meters albums then Rejuvenation is their 9th

I'm sure someone guessed that before the 9 clue though, right?

Maybe he has a really wrong list of Etta James or Staples Singers albums.

Hasn't he said nope when one of the three was correct before? I think that is fair, if sometimes annoying, ambiguity. Like when he says yes or no to a three part question.
That's exactly what is happening here. He would day nope even if 2 out of 3 were correct. There is a special way of asking Storf a question and he would treat that has a 3 part question.

The famous example of where he denied 3 correct answers had the capitalization wrong in OutKast.

Might can make Ohio Players work if including comps.

Although I think most of the times it has been this late in the month where no one has guessed it he had the year wrong.

Edit: haha, what day is it? Ok not that late in the month, but with this much information from the clues I think it still holds true.

I’m still in awe that Rejuvenation hasn’t gotten a good reissue yet. Such a classic. I know it was up on Run Out Groove but somehow didn’t win the vote.

A classic. Very happy to have a clean original. The jam half of Ain't No Use is so good.

Would love a great reissue of the first album. Do you have one?

That's wild, what won over it?

Yes I have an original as well! Sounds fantastic! Wish I had more Meters stuff but originals are very hard to come by. And I don’t really remember but it might have been a Cher album or something.

Has bland been ruled out? I haven’t listened to that one in decades, but it takes me back to when I had a graveyard shift job in center city and I would cruise around in the middle of the night playing it.

I think it would have been a good pick.

Not Labelle either. Damn, I think we're at square one again for January Classics.

There are a ton of possibilities still for February though:

Leroy Hutson
The Pointer Sisters
The Hues Corporation
MFSB
Rufus (even though he kinda nixed the guess that included this among the 3)
