I picked up this cheapo mini wooden crate at the local Dollar Store. Works pretty well.

I find that whenever I get a warped record it tends to be a Classics, presumably from having the booklet shipped in the same jacket as the record. I bought this after seeing someone mention something similar on the forum. It holds a decent amount of booklets, and also cloths, 7" adaptors, stickers etc. Not the fanciest but gets the job done.

The obi strips? Those things are an abomination. Like I need VMP'S generic white label taking up 25% of that beautiful artwork, and whatever blogger boob they hired to give it their first ever listen and write up some wank for the back. Those things go in the trash instantly.

I should probably let him speak for himself, but @NathanRicaud previously discussed binning the boxes and slipcases that box sets come in.

With respect to the Obis, I'm with you. I keep them but don't use them. I don't find they look particularly good actually. I open them flat and store them in the record sleeve. I usually need to fold down a centimeter or so off the top so they fit without sticking out. I keep them mainly because they often have a write-up (or cocktail recipe) on them.

Totally agree, the "obi" corner wedge things are horrible. Not only is the corner wedge style obi functionally annoying, their version is just ugly as hell. I don't get why they don't do the traditional Japanese style obi that slips over the whole sleeve.... and maybe make a better design. I can't imagine that would take any more cost/effort. Or just get rid of the obi entirely. I keep them just because I hate throwing stuff away but man, they're stupid. And ugly. And worthless.

Lmao the obi for Tical was so awful. It was like your high school English teacher trying to sound hip.

Id prefer Japan style obis or no obi at all. Use the money for a trading card insert or something. Imagine that -- Tical with a Method Man card showing him holding a spiked bat.

I would be happy to take the OBIs off of anyone's hands that don't want them. I like how they make VMP titles easily identifiable on my shelves.

If anyone got a Biggie OBI with the recent reissue, I need that one. Same goes for if the new copies of Tidal come with one.
