I'm not subscribed right now but I've been streaming U.F.O. a lot since the announcement. It's right up my alley.I TOLD YOU ALL IT WOULD BE FUCKING GOOD
I swear, you and I are going to open our own record club one day and Resident Alien will be the only record we ever press.
It'd totally be worth it.

Only thing I wish is that they went with the original blue cover!UFO is a great album. Reveals a few layers with more plays. Title track is also a great tune. I think it was a great pick actually

Third record would be Cake's Fashion Nugget. If a record club started and the first two records pressed were Spacehog & PUSA, I wouldn't hesitate to sign up. I'd love to be a member of a 90s record club.
Hey guys...remember when VMP said for years and years that Songs For The Deaf was never going to happen but they could never give an explanation as to the reasons why?
I still kinda want to know why it was never going to happen and what made the change from "Never" to "Next Month".
Have any Redditers here seen the reasons or want to pose the question to Storf?
Tripping Daisy - Jesus Hits Like the Atom Bomb needs to be on the list please. I’ll go hunt Tim down and speak to him directly if need be!!Third record would be Cake's Fashion Nugget.
Oh wow, it would never happen, but this would be so awesome to get on vinyl/remasterTripping Daisy - Jesus Hits Like the Atom Bomb needs to be on the list please. I’ll go hunt Tim down and speak to him directly if need be!!
Any idea what’s holding up their vinyl releases? They reissued Elastic Firecracker but it was limited and that was the only one.Oh wow, it would never happen, but this would be so awesome to get on vinyl/remaster
I would assume Island/Def Jam (or whoever owns whatever now) has an asking price that may be out of the range of smaller labels. But even more so unfortunately unlike say superdrag who were able to justify reissuing 2 of their major label works, this record is really unknown to most, even for those into mid 90s alt rock. I cant imagine they could move more than 500, and even that is pushing it. I know they've been playing shows off and on since 2017. I don't think they've even played the east coast yet since the reunion...Any idea what’s holding up their vinyl releases? * and as I type this...I just read Tim from TD said they did buy the masters, and it will be coming out on vinyl

That all said, as hyperbolic as it sounds, Jesus Hits Like The Atom Bomb is one of the most over looked and underrated record of the late 90s
It fits quite nicely between Flaming Lips Transmissions...and Brainaic (who they ultimately cover on the record as a tribute)
Were they nice because you took your hot sister along to the show?I met them when they were on tour for Elastic Firecracker and they were just the nicest people. I think I was about 17. They all signed my CD. I think I still have it somewhere...
That's my Tripping Daisy story.
Proooobably...Were they nice because you took your hot sister along to the show?
