You've had those too? Ok what you need to do is remember to severe the head. I recommend envisioning this throughout the day to make it easier when you're asleep

I actually remember one of my dreams now!!! I had a dream that I woke up and realised that I was in the U.S.! I was so overwhelmed because they were so many Needles&Grooves forumers I wanted to meet!!! Like I was so extremely excited and happy and I was ready to go nuts and fly domestically everywhere to meet everyone! I remember thinking of @nolalady straight away and was ready to go to New Orleans! I also remembered being really excited about us two having a sleepover and eating Po’boy, having a drink walking around the French quarter and giggling a lot! 🍸🍤😙

But I also remember being confused at myself for not warning anyone that I was coming to the U.S.! Like I was a little bit annoyed that I didn’t give anyone the heads up that I was coming! Felt like I wasted time not organising my itinerary properly because it meant I wasn’t able to see as many Needles&Grooves peeps on here! 🤯⏳

And then I woke up! And I remember laughing to myself in bed because there’s no way I could’ve travelled anyways because of COVID and I also giggled because it was a Sunday morning when I woke up and it meant I wasn’t working! ♥️😅😇

First disc, lots of distortion and crackle across both sides, and the end of side repetitive crackle on both sides A and B. Now this record has a LOT of intentional crackle and distortion, this stuff I'm talking about is NOT that. But I know the album pretty well, in many cases people probably just figure it's meant to be there. I'll admit it doesn't exactly sound out of place in most cases. But my first two copies were an absolute MESS, and my third copy... is perfect. So I really think this just continues to point towards GZ using stampers for well beyond their functional lifespan. I'm not sure how else we repeatedly get such widely differing quality of presses from the same runs. Like this third copy doesn't even sound like it was pressed at the same plant. It has none of the previous issues of the first two. Like, zero.

Yea and I don't doubt everyone who has all these probs but then I listen to my copy and imagine y'all are wearing some tin foil hats and eating cat food. Mine sounds great and I have a CD copy and digital to compare.

But I think you're spot on as to why there is such discrepancies in quality.

Yeah I have the OG vinyl and the stream to compare because I make sure it's not supposed to be there before I put on the foil hat. I would have stuck with my OG because the mastering was unbeatable, but the pressing was very poppy. I find the new master isn't QUITE as good, but it's right there, definitely more bass on the new master. But man, like GZ is so inconsistent that they are actually making me question my own sanity. When you can have two that sound like absolute garbage, then a third that's perfect it's just... HOW? WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING OVER THERE??
 
looks like the buena vista socisl club is getting a wide release 25th anniversary pressing on 2lp also remastered by bernie grundmann ( might be the same as the vmp, idk) , but they cramped the tracks together on 3 vinyl sides, so they can pit 5 bonus tracks from the sessions on side d.

jpc lists the preorder at 26€ which would be a fair price

How's the run time of the reg album look to fare on 3 sides?
 
Seeing as vmp gave me 43 bucks for the doors

That just need 2 or so good albums and I'll continue since it will only be almost 75 dollars for it (unless they have a must buy exclusive in the coming weeks)
